Buyer drove 100km with it, after it goot a bump at the staircase.

    Toshiba 65S2650EV 65" TV
It was repaired "here" highly unusual and over 6 months long saga. ( I can give the link if you're interested )

I used only VGA to check the display. He uses HDMI. ( told him to try VGA etc)

Damn.. i don't understand if the tv after sale lasted some time with no faults, when he drove 100km? He hit the stair with the tv? i don't think this defect could be possible with a crack in the screen. It is possibile it depends by the original fault, maybe the damage was in both sides of the screen, i have here a tv with same type of issue and it has some bad lines on the left and one starting from right..sorry

nomoresonys : I know a BL blip happens if one LED is failing, usually at start up time when protection kicks in. But it would be full screen. read below.

          Davi.p : Thanks for coming.
The would-be buyer asked for videos through WhatsApp : I took 2, of same YT video I used once ( Switzerland ) - it ran much longer than the 11sec video he sent. NO ISSUE at all. Sadly (?) I deleted them.

He than came and took it, by himself ( didn't want to wait for help), and I decided to go with him with flashlight ( evening). It got a bump at the wall and I pleaded the guys to drive carefully as they seemed to be in a hurry.

I give a buyer a Regret & Return, and 3 Months Warranty. There is no question in my mind that the fault was not present before I sold it. He is welcome to prove me wrong.
Also, I sold it before to a guy in a town 60km away. He decided to return it after a week (difficulties handling it at his apartment, no Remote) . At NO POINT did he complain about such issue.
Also Previously there were no such blips at all. I had the "No Signal" running smoothly ! .

The issue is about helping the buyer not lose his $300.

I ran his video in slow motion, and captured the blips :
They appear at 5s , 6s twice, and 10s. Note the 5s delay at first.. blips.. than about 5s delay.
The Area of the white blip is not the same every time
          * I will ask him for longer and better resolution videos.

So, Davi.p : The TV got a small bump. What/Where might the issue be ? I would like to know what are chances for a repair

Looks to me like a main board issue. Maybe the bump jarred a cable/connector loose a touch.

I surely hope so. Buyer is abroad ATM. I'll have him re-seat the flex cables when he comes back. I'll update. Thanks

What i want to understand is if you tested the tv before sell only with no signal screen, if yes that is not good for an error like that..

                  Hi
                  As I wrote earlier : I tested the TV 3 times :
I sold it before to a guy 60km away, he decided to return it ( an option I give so that buyer won't be afraid to buy). At no point did he say anything about a problem with the TV. I tested with VGA/laptop - OK.
This buyer asked for video, I took 2 with Youtube clip running full screen. No issue.
Buyer inspected the working TV, buttons, remote (Universal) before buying.
                  * I never tested with HDMI.
                  * At no point during OUR previous saga did the TV display such an issue of blips every 5 sec or so.

This partial white is NOT full screen, NOR always same area : see earlier photos.
I can tell him to test with another connector/source/cable, clean and re-seat the LVDS, to save bringing it back, but frankly I doubt this variable-area issue is contacts or source related. We'll see.

                  This TV is jinxed

Merry Christmass to everyone who reads this

Sorry but my english shakes... yes it is possible that that "bump" to the wall was fatal, might be inspected for cracked COF / Tab, or is possible the fault is the original one that showed up lately, i don't know how many hours tv runned before this fault, but surely it is a gate driver tab fault, ie side tab, no stories..

OK. So you say it is a side COF. I assume you mean the bonding, or cracked edge, not the plastic itself. And since we did work on Side Cofs, you think there is a small chance, but a chance nonetheless, it has been there before.

But how do you explain the blipping AREA ? which at one image is lower quarter and in another half the screen ? the cause is at a high point, near the board ?

it is a bad cof chip or bad support,a dispersion that it causes disturbance in signal
