    Sony KDL-32L4000 LCD issues

I am having an issue with this LCD TV. The picture is rolling like there is no horizontal hold. I have reflowed the T-Con and the tuner board with no success. I am thinking of replacing all the power supply caps next. Any idea what may be causing this and the best way to fix it? Thanks in advance.

I have never ran into this problem before. I cant see the caps on inverter board as being the problem though. Have you checked to see if it does this on a different source input? (Component, HDMI, etc...)

It does it on all inputs. Really it's just the main image and a ghost of it rolling. That is why I was thinking it may be a power supply issue.

Does the rolling or ghosting happen on the entire screen, or is it limited to certain sections?

          Happens on the whole screen.

I'm just throwing this out there. Oviously the high voltages for the lamps are working however, does anyone out there think that excessive ripple on the output to the processor board can possibly cause these symptoms? What is the name and numbers that appear on the main processor chip located on the processor board? I have a feeling one of the inputs have something to do with sync.

It does sound like it could be a bad (noisy) LDO regulator.

Deranged, did you ever find a solution to this problem? I know someone with that same problem but on a different set. It was like the screen was not updating quick enough and the picture would slowly clear off of the screen from right to left. I have seen this on his youtube video and I'm inclined to say it is the main video processing board.

i have never worked on a tv but if the same thing applies i vote it the cpu (does it have one)? is overheating and underclocking itself?
