    LG 65UJ6200 4K Smart TV Backlight Issue

    Hi all,
    I have this lg 65 Inch TV with intermittent backlight failure. If it works for 1-3 hours without any issues a power on-off will trigger the issue. There is images I am attaching showing the voltage reading I got when everything works. I found a reset button on the main board that resolves the issues by pressing it. So I drilled a hole on the back to put a pencil through it to activate the switch. Checked the backlight strips and it all shows exact same voltages. Any inputs? Thanks

      Backlight issues are 99% the backlights themselves. LGs have shutdown protection if the sensed voltage is out of range. You can lower the backlight level for now to see if it stays on longer but proper repair is to replace all the strips with new.

          Okay, I have reduced the backlight to 60% and its working fine now.

              Keep us posted on this. I had a Samsung “J” series that did something very similar. Turned out to be bad soldering connections on the power boards transformer.

                  I'm back with another backlight issue that I thought was simple, but it turned out to be more complex than expected.

                  Let me provide a brief history: The TV was working well, then one day, the backlight started and shut down. I thought I had an LED issue leading to this behavior, so I replaced the LEDs with brand new ones. However, the issue remains the same.

                  Next, I replaced the electrolytic capacitors attached to the LED power supply, but the results were the same. I then replaced the driver, a OB3365RP, and did it twice due to the same result....

                  Hello, got an iPad Pro A2378 12.9 5th gen with no backlight. Got another test unit without screen, tested the screen, still no backlight with the test unit.
                  Figured out the backlight on the screen was bad, ordred a new backlight from mobilesentrix, *carefully replaced it* without damaging the lcd, oh well.
                  Final result, issue is still there, the screen has no back lights. So i'm back to square one, with 3 hours less and 100$ out, issue still on the screen.
                  The panel is still ok, i can see the apple in the middle of the screen when it kicks in, just no backlight.
                  Anyone...

                  TCL 65C715 backlight issue

                  Hello team,

                  I'm back with another topic.
                  It's a 65C715 TCL tv with backlight issue.

                  But the problem is a bit strange.
                  When I took this tv from the marketplace backlight didn't work but picture was ok.
                  Back at home I checked with led tester if led are alive and I can find something different in term of voltage supply => nothing

                  Putting all back together the tv worked fine for weeks. => Contact issue??

                  Few moment later the tv has started to have backlight issue back, turning off and on worked sometimes and tv was working....

                  today I'm coming to you regarding my issue which is no Backlight .

                  I have image on my screen but no light .

                  The macbook was one that I bought few month ago that I used with an external screen . Now I started to do some analysis on the MB which my limited knowledge .
                  First thing is that it suffered from liquid damage . The fuse was not ok when I openned it the first time . But I already changed it after testing that there is no short to ground on this line .

                  Hello All!

                  So here is the issue I am having. When everything is plugged in as normal, the TV turns on and I get a quick flash of the backlight. After that the backlight never turns back on but the rest of the TV works fine. If I pull the PWM pin from the cable between the main board and power board the backlight turns on and the tv works "normally". If it is plugged in I get nothing. I did do a factory reset but that didn't solve my issue. When everything is plugged in normally I get .6v at start up and continues rise over about 10 seconds. (~.6v then ~.8v then ~1.8v...
