Take good photos of this non-working plank so you can see what's on it.Leave a comment:

Basically, these are shunt capacitors for powering the matrix and one output will always be on ground.Leave a comment:

None beep if I touch both ends of caps on continuity setting.
However, with one MM probe to earth, and checking caps, they all beep except this one in pic C449. I also cannot get a reading set at 2k ohmsLeave a comment:

You must find a capacitor that has a very low resistance (a few ohms), if the multimeter has a continuity, then the multimeter will beep on a faulty capacitor.Leave a comment:

With the cable unplugged, Im mainly getting no readings on most???
What should I be looking for? If I set DMM to 20k OhmsLeave a comment:

So, I have removed it, and fault still exists.
Also If I use DMM on the board, with cap removed, but where it was positioned, I get the same outcome of reading just going up and upLast edited by Bloopeta; 09-02-2022, 02:30 PM.Leave a comment:

You can run without this capacitor, it does not play a big role.Leave a comment:

First remove it and see if that fixes the problem.Leave a comment:

And how do I know what capacitor I need to replace C346? I cant see anything written on it? I have never had to replace a capacitor like it before, i have only had experience with the larger cylindrical type, with the numbers are clearly written on the side.Leave a comment:

Re: Hitachi 58HK6100U LED TV - Sound but No Picture
Am I right in thinking, that if I check all the caps with DMM set to Ohms, and they all show readings consistent with others, and stabalise on a number they are fine?
And if I get 1, where the reading just gets higher and higher, with no sign of stopping, that one is bad?
C346 being the one in questionLeave a comment:

by iglitareHi,
i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.
Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
Or is it always a bad/shorted... -
by KYBOSHPicked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.
When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on... -
by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered... -
by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
by jchangHi all
I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.
Symptom:
No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
No sound at all.
What I tried:
1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon... - Loading...
- No more items.
