Samsung TV UN65MU8000 FXZA Not Working

We had a power outage and the tv was dead when the power came back to the house.

When plugged in my tv had no stand by light and the led’s did not come on.

    Here's what I've looked at:
Unplugged main board from power supply - Backlights come on and do not blink.

I changed the main board and now the led’s blink on and off, but show no picture. When the ribbons that go into the main board are detached the tv will blink 1 time and then go to a solid dim light on the screen with no picture. The company who sold me the main board is saying that the main board is good and and panel must be out. Please advise

    MAIN BOARD = BN94-12295K

Let's try to restore your original motherboard, do you have a programmer?

No.. Basically I’m asking if by what I’ve described does it sound like the main board or the panel. He insisted that the main board he sent works and that it must be the panel, but I dont know if he is just saying that because I paid for it. It went from doing nothing to changing the main board and now the standby light blinks on and off and the LED’s blink on and off when everything is connected and a solid dim light when the ribbions are disconnected

Basically, in the "MU" series, when the power is turned off, the standby firmware flies, but the panel cannot be damaged. Try to answer in turn first one white loop and turn on the TV and see what happens, then insert the first one back and turn off the second loop.

The seller can say whatever he wants, just to sell, and that the mainboard was working.

I also tried that both with the same result as when both ribbons were disconnected. It blinks once and then the screen goes to a dim light that stays on, but doesn’t blink.

                  Could the ribbons be damaged?

Does the number BN97-xxxxxx match on the white nameplate?

It's strange, the two halves of the panel can't go bad right away, it's just that T-CON is built into the motherboard, if it doesn't work, then there may be such a reason, try returning this motherboard and buying it elsewhere.

I just wanted to make sure the main board is the problem before I purchased another one.

But without a knowingly 100% working motherboard, you can’t check it.

Look in the advertisements for who sells such a TV with a broken screen for spare parts.
If you had a programmer, you could try to restore your motherboard.

look it over closely, can check each pin for continuity with multimeter.

LVDS cables themselves cannot deteriorate, unless they are correctly inserted into the connector and the contacts are not damaged.

It it very difficult to find this main board from a reputable company.
