    Samsung LE37B650T2W, white picture

    Hello,
I picked up this TV with a problem showing white image.

When I unplug the right ribbon from the T-con to the panel board the right side is white with a dark shade at the edge and the left side shows perfect image.

When I unplug the left ribbon from the T-con to the panel board the left side is dark and the right side shows image but white. After a while the left side turns grey with vertical and horizontal lines. I found online that by swapping the AS15G it fixes images problems but not in my case.

could be tcon or panel problem, maybe try the tape cut-off method.

That's going to be the gamma IC on the t-con, I'd guess an AS15-F.
It's the IC top right in photo #2.

So are you saying you changed out AS15G and have same exact problem?

Most likely a panel problem. Also lots of test points on t-con to check.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

I've done AS15 or tcon swaps with whitewashed video on these old LCDs before with no change so assumed the problem was in the panel.

Yes changed the IC but nothing changed.

I kept the boards and threw away the rest TV after seeing your posts. So thank you all but TV is gone

ooo, that was an early toss, many times it's just one of those little capacitors on the panel driver board that needs changed out.

You changed it more than once ? it's not uncommon to get a faulty AS15.

No only once I changed it.. I tried a couple of times fixing panel boards but I never managed to bring to life one and always remain with the doubt if the panel itself has a damage or the board

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                      by TR103
                      Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                      - sound and backlight, but no picture
                      - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                      - it keeps rebooting
                      - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                      - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

                      TCL 55US57 backlights, no picture.
                      by DXseekerMO
So here we go with another screen short TCL. For this exercise left and right will be reference looking at the screen.

The person I got this TV from said the color was bad in a vertical fashion about 1/4 of the way over the left side of the screen. Shortly after the symptoms below started.

Power Supply, main and T-CON board are working.

Symptoms: The TV has backlights but no picture with both FFC's attached to the T-CON and does not respond to the remote or buttons, and the TV appears to continuously re-boot.

                      Unhook FFC from left side...

KDL-70R550A Peeled off LCD Tabs on left side and perfect picture for 5 minutes
                      by Davidhames
                      Hi Guys,

Thought I might try and seek advice on an issue I am having, I got this SONY tv for free that was having some dark greenish colouring, I replaced the T-CON and too my suprise the TV would not boot - I would get 5 blinking red LED lights. I dug deeper into this forum and someone mentioned the fact that it might be the tabs that connect to the LDC panel, and peeling them off should bring back a clear image. I tried this on the side of the T-con that was causing the tv to not boot when plugged in (left) and wow a perfect picture and was booting up fine! All was well and good...

                      • Prior owner tried a replacement main board. No difference.
                      • Samsung 2x red blinking standby LED = panel fault
                      • Jumpered FB_TRDY_1 (pin 1 CN1300 left. main tcon->left side buffer boards) and FB_TRDY_3 (pin 95 CN1301 right. main tcon->right side buffer boards) This allows testing individual T-Con (on main board) connection to panel on this Samsung. Found fault on left side (viewing from rear of TV)
                      • Each side has 2 buffer boards, disconnected left side flex between 2 buffer boards. Fault is on the left most board.
                      • Tape masking eventually isolated to CN1300 pin 15 (CKV4_GOA) Display
