    Westinghouse SK-19h210s

I recently acquired a Westinghouse SK-19h210s LCD tv. I will admit I found it on the curb waiting to go for the garbage men. I thought it was a computer moniter at first. Brought it home and plugged it in. Nothing happened. Been reading other posts, gotten a lot of info, thanx for that. Not to knowledgable on this yet but always wanting to try it. One post said something about checking the fuse. I think I figured out that but need help with how to test it... I have pulled everything out. I noticed one of the caps has a bulge on it. I plan on recaping everything but want to check that fuse just in case I have to replace that...

    Thanx in advance...

    Test is using an ohmmeter.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

I have the same model a friend gave to me. I have replaced the caps on the power board and it now turns on and I have sound but the picture only dislpays for about 2 seconds, then goes black.. So far I only spent 17 dollars on this unit. Not to bad yet.. Try starting with the capacitors on the power board you might have better luck then I.. If anybody else has any ideas why my screen shuts down please let me know.. Thanks

        1) Wow, feedback on Amazon.com

        http://www.amazon.com/Westinghouse-S...owViewpoints=1

shows 65 people scored it a 1 out of 72 reviews.

        2) What brand of capacitors did you use for replacements?

        3) There are a number of reasons for 2 seconds to black. To give us a better idea where to start, please post pictures.

        4) Post clear focused pictures AFTER reading

        https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1868

        5) Please do not post pictures inline as they slow down the loading of pages.

        6) For best picture quality and clarity take your boards to a window on a sunny day, turn flash off, and use macro mode. Take a top down view of all your boards (front and back). Make sure the photo is legible so that we can read the PCB printing clearly. A shutter speed of 1/125 or faster will produce nice clear focused pictures. Try to get a photo that is 2000x2000 resolution or as close as possible.

        7) Here is an example of the pictures we want.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

          Re: Westinghouse SK-19h210s

I aquired a non working Westinghouse SK-19h210s. When I plugged it in there was no power, no blue light. I have inspected the power supply board (DAC-19M015) and i found the smd fuse near C103 is broken. All caps are looking good.
I repalce the fuse with a smd resitor (0 ohm).
When I powered on, the blue light come out, after couple seconds, Q1 on the analog board (A190A5-A05) burned out.

I am thinking of replacing the transistor Q1, however, I don't know the part number.
I wonder if anyone has similar issue.

          Thanks in advance.

            Hi rlee,
Hope you are still there. I also have a problem on the main board, but mine is Q21, maybe you could let me know what number is on Q21 by CN10 the connector for the display. As for Q1 the number on it is 7KWWH hope this helps.

Ok, I just got one of these with no power at a local recycler. I am sure that I will fix that issue when I tear it down. But it sure looks like there is a high likely hood that it will have other issues as well. I sure hope my wapping 15 dollar investment comes out good. Ether way I guess it should be good for parts.

Ok, I replaced the 10v 2200uf with a 16v 2200uf and my TV is working. I did find that it has some moisture marks behind the screen, but you cant see them when you are watching TV. I think I am going to see if my 19 in Westinghouse monitor is a match, It has a perfect picture. I do like the 1080i on the DTV but I think finding a remote that will work for the TV maybe hell. I think that if I have to sacrifice the monitor it will be for a better cause.

Ok, so I know I know, it's a Westinghouse....lol It's got the backlights but no video. Likely the panel, but I'd like to take some measurements on the buffer board with help from you experts to confirm. See the attached pictures. In pic #1, there's a nice pin reference to use to take some measurements. The large IC in pic #7 gets up to 60degC when the TV is on.

So, backlights, no video, go! 🙂...

Help Request - Westinghouse 32" Smart TV (Model: WD32HBR105)

Westinghouse 32" Smart TV (Model: WD32HBR105) . Originally stuck on logo with no response from remote and no firmware file available to flash via USB. Westinghouse Support stated it would require service but that wasn't a cost effective option. I used dental floss to remove the motherboard processor heatsink to identify what make it was (Mstar). Unfortunately that knowledge didn't help with a solution. After the heatsink removal it only displayed a completely white screen. I then decided to replace the motherboard with a universal 3-in-1 board but the white screen problem continued. This...

Westinghouse TV WD48FAB100 Not Powering On – Burn Mark Found on Power Supply
                  by Seville
                  Hello all!

Westinghouse TV WD48FAB100 Not Powering On – Burn Mark Found on Power Supply .

I have a Westinghouse LED TV, model WD48FAB100 that is not powering on. Upon removing the back cover, I noticed a burn mark where the AC cord connects to the power supply/main board. In this model, there is only one board combining the two functions. Previous owner said the TV experienced a lightening strike, but who knows. I checked the main fuse, tested OK. Here are a collection of readings from the power supply ports. Looking for some guidance on what to test/check next....

Hi All... Me again. Begging for help. The guy who now believes it's possible to fix a TV (one of the millions) one can find on the streets of NYC. I hate hate hate waste...

Thanks to y'all's help I fixed and am happily watching a 70inch Sharp Aquos. Perfect. Learned a lot, replaced LEDs. Pulled screen/panel. Proud.

This is a newer set. It's a Westinghouse Roku WR58UX4019. It was RIGHT outside my place literally, and I couldn't resist. 58in. 500$ new, but I'm not a rich man. So, I want to try.

There is sound. It turns off and on. Screen is black. I can...
