I just bought a Sharp 60" LCD tv that was not working at all: no standby light, no backlight, no video or audio. There is just a hum from the power board when I opened the back and plugged it in and to try to turn "on". I measured the standby volts (and the power-on volts) and when everything is plugged in, the volts fluctuate high and low near the expected 5V. Here comes the tricky part: If I unplug the Power Board line to the FRC Board and then plug the tv in, it automatically activates the standby light turning blue, the backlights turn on and the volts from the Power Board are steady. If I shut off the tv once again (the standby light is red keeping it plugged in), then replug in the FRC Board to the Power Board and turn the tv on, everything works as new! The only problem is that if I turn the tv off and then try to turn it on, it is completely dead once again!
This is what's baffling me: which Board would prevent the tv to turn on normally considering it DOES turn on after replugging in the FRC Board if I follow the above steps???
Any expertise would help me sleep at night...:
