Hi guys i picked up this 4k lcd tv up yesterday with a backlight fault (vestel connection joint issue hard wired strips also replaced one strip) the tv was working fine nice picture etc.
come this morning i thought i would leave it on soak test but now a problem the set comes out of standby the led then goes a solid green and the backlight works and stay on, the issue no picture at all now.
i have tested all the voltages from the psu and they seem fine. I have also checked i have 12v too both sides of t con fuse which i do.
I have removed one top ribbon cable and turned the tv on no change, i tried with the other ribbon cable removed no change, as no white half screen at all could this be a mainboard issue it uses a Vestel 17MB130S Main Board.

you correct thinking tcon i was just about too check voltages when i spotted a really small bga ic with a hole in it, luckily on ebay i found same tcon for under £10.00 delivered so worth a try odd it was working yesterday but i did notice some flickering on the picture so was probably failing then.

Update, the secondhand tcon arrived fitted it and now have picture back, (could me running the set without the lcd attached caused the tcon to fail as i let the set run for a while too make sure no backlight issue was fixed) the tv still has a picture flashing issue on top left of screen, so i have just ordered a new led strip kit (4 strips) just a waiting game now as from china.
