    LG 32ln5700

Hello all! I have a currently non-working LG 32LN5700-UH LED TV that doesn't turn on (no pic, no sound), has the RED standby light, and when the POWER button's depressed, I get 3 RED light blinks, a longer one, and the cycle continually repeats.

I tested the POWER SUPPLY voltages. All are present as they should be. I already swapped the POWER SUPPLY board but the symptoms remain.

The MOTHER BOARD (MB) is a EAX64872105(1.0)|61991145 (aka EBR61991145). I hear a 'click' whenever the RED light changes state from the 3 blinking to single more-solid (and the PS voltages change from what they should be (12V, 24V) to near-zero...and then come back.

I don't know what the 3 RED blinks mean (some sort of ERROR CODE?) and haven't stumbled upon an answer, either.

I'm also having a hard time finding a replacement MB. None found for my specific model TV...BUT...there are some available for a 42LN5700!

My question is this: Are these boards compatible? They bear the same board #, but the TV models are different. I don't know if they are and don't want to spend money without knowing more. Please advise...thanks!

LN series are known for backlight failures and your first suspect if you have no backlight or flash of backlights. The front LED flashes when the TV is booting and there are no error codes.

So no picture, no sound or backlights?
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

None. Voltages seem ok but I'm hearing a 'click' from the MB that starts the cycle all over.

I wanted to find out if all EAX64872105(1.0) boards are the same?

Can't tell you. I'm not a board swapper.

Check the LED Voltage. Check it on (LED+) or LB801 (near board edge). Monitor this voltage as the tv is turned ON. Does it go higher than +70 volts then drop down?

No. Stays at roughly +45 volts...plug connected or not. I've got two boards, both with same +45 volts at LED+.

That would suggest there is no DRV-ON signal from the main board to turn on the led circuit.

XR-77A80K Dead set, red light blinks 8 times. Cannot find error code list.
                    by mecha1166
I have a XR-77A80K here. When plug in & press power, white lindicator light flashes on & off. about 30 seconds later, indicator light flashes 8x red. Checked Sony, Power reset = unplug & plug in. Factory reset involves turning it on, then pressing remote buttons when a picture shows. Well, neither of these "resets" are for a dead set like this. Anyone know what 8 blinks indicates, from the schematic? Thanks!

Samsung UN60F8000BFXZA ~ No Picture or Sound - 5 Res Light Blinks
                    by kca
                    Hello all ~

I’m working on this Samsung 60” LED and purchased a new main board a couple of days ago that did not fix the 5 blink issue. The original main board’s HDMI ports (all 4 of them) failed to work and no amount of reflow remedied that.

This 5 red light blink code on the front panel LED is followed (about 15-20 seconds afterward) by an automatic reboot, and results in 5 more red light blinks. Then the entire cycle repeats itself indefinitely.

                    No picture. No sound.

I tested all the voltages coming out of the power supply...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
                    by Alicat
                    Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                    Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

Samsung UN70NU6900FXZA - Red Light Blinks 2 Times Then Screen Flickers
                    by Samunggg
I've happened upon this TV, it came with no power cord or remote and it seems to be experiencing a common issue where the red indicator light blinks 2 times then the screen flickers as if it's trying to turn on. No picture, no sound. I suspect the functions of the TV are in good order and that the underlying issue is with the power button which is missing. It's just a white tab where the button should be which means I can't cycle it.

I wanted to know if there is anything I can do or if I should just get a replacement module with the hopes it will fix the system. Alternatively if...
