Hi ... Samsung Plasma PS43F4500AW ... when powered with 240V mains standby flashes, pressing PWR button causes standby LED to go out but nothing further happens.
I have already removed and benched the SMPS, jumpered PS_ON to GND, VS_ON to 5.3v and have VS & VA voltages and all other voltages available at CN4007.
VS=213v
VA=58v
SVT_VS=213v
This suggests to me that the SMPS is probably ok but I have no experience of TV repair so could do with some help.
I have removed the XY-Drive board and checked all the ribbon cable connectors for shorts and found none, so I think the Logic+Mainboard is probably the fault but not sure how to proceed from here.
What further tests can I do to confirm that it is the L+M board?, can I safely turn the screen on to test it? At the moment the SMPS is sitting with all other boards unplugged including the X-buffer (which is part of the SMPS in this model).
Any help well appreciated ...
