    model:ONN 100005396 roku tv black screen no back light/

    hi guys i have found model:ONN 100005396 roku tv is dead just stays black screen,no back light standby is red,when press ok menu buttom it blinks i can hear the roku sound .
    I tried resetting with the remote and power and reset button no luck.
    I wonder if the backlight burn out?
    I don't have the original remote i have another roku box remote but has no power button, do i need remote power button to turn on tv?i thought when you plug it in it boots like any roku box?
    any ideas, tomorrow i'm going to measure some points on the board.

      Hi guys ; i tested this tv and i have all the voltages ok, the back light voltage is 225v, is this too high? i'm going to try open to check the leds ,maybe is what's wrong ,don't know if this is worth the effort?

          Hi guys can someone help on this, i have 225v going to back light and i disconnect from back light i have 0 volts with tv on, does this means power board is bad?,i also have the 12v on T-con and power board has the 3 volts and 12v going to the main board also has sound thanks, please advise. it's my first 4k tv that i pick up from the curve that has no smashed screen, I have no 4 K tv and i'd like to repair it if i don't have to spend much money.

              Hi guys new update on this tv ,i dismantled it and got to the back lights and there is a strip that has a couple leds bad ,did not fix it because there are no new strips for this module# and i don't want to risk money on this,if i ever come across another same module with any good led strips i will fix.

                  This happened last Saturday and today I finally had time this morning before I went to work to replace two non brand capacitors

                  I will let you be the judge weather or not these are bad or not according to the blue ESR meter that I am using

                  I am comparing them to a brand new one that I installed

                  The display came back on and the programming was not lost which I was surprised by I would have thought that when the display went blank that so did the memory as well

                  Problem

                  This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

                  hi guys, i need your help again...i have tcl u65x9006. while i was watching it become darker like when a movie ends, little by little the image disappear. now if i turn on i have back light on, after like 1 min i have also sound but no picuture. the back light is on i take off one at time the ldvs but nothing change always no picture. i tried to cover with a piece of paper the pin of ldvs i cover like 7 8 pins but nothing worked. the tv stay with no picture. there is a tcon board.i checked the voltage there on the fuse i have 11,8 volts. there is caps in shorts on the exit of the tcon i have...

                  Hi, I'm looking for some help with attempting to troubleshoot and hopefully repair my trusty LG55" TV.

                  I'm reasonably comfortable working with electronics, but far from expert level! I have more experience with auto-electrics than anything.

                  We recently had a power cut while the TV was on, and since then, when the TV is switched on at the wall, the red standby light comes on like normal. Then. when you press the power button on the remote or the TV to switch it on from standby, the standby light flashes 3 times and then goes out. There is no audio or video at...

                  Hello,

                  Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                  Model number is TH-50PZ85U

                  Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

                  Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

                  I also hear a few clicks.

                  I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

                  Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...
