I wonder if it's the mainboard or t-con board. I also wondered why nobody else has posted about this model yet.

There is an audible high pitched "pinging" sound coming from the mainboard when plugged in, but not powered on. Maybe one of the chips with the heatsinks over it.Comment

Re: LG 43UF6400 - displays static on all inputs, sound works, menus look and run perf
Had luck finding a solution with a comment on a youtube video!
SOLVED the issue this week. My 55" LG TV was doing the exact same thing. But it's now working perfectly, and it didn't cost me anything to fix it. I had tried the "reflow oven trick", which is putting the motherboard in the oven at 380 degrees for 10 minutes. That did nothing, but I didn't give up, and tried 3 more times.
First time: 380 degrees for 10 mins = no result
Second time: 400 degrees for 10 mins = no result
Third time: 400 degrees for 15 minutes = mostly clear picture with a slight static
Fourth time: 405 degrees for 18 minutes = issue fixed!
Motherboard was placed on cardboard from an Amazon box, and placed in the center of the oven. Make sure to let the motherboard cool for about 45 minutes - 1 hour after being in the oven before reinstalling.
Hopefully this will help someone else who is having a similar issue.
*Why does this work? The soldering on these motherboards can crack / disconnect over time. Even 1 poor solder connection on the motherboard can cause a static screen. Putting the motherboard in the oven will re-melt the solder, and letting it cool properly will allow the connections to "reset". You will get a nasty smell from your oven while doing this, but it's normal. Just have a window / door open with a fan on. *
I did the same, but skipped step 1 and 2 and tried step 3 because it sounded the most promising, but he was absolutely right there were flickers, now I'm trying 405 degrees for 18 minutes...Comment

I only disagree with putting cardboard in the oven, I used a flat pan with four tiny balls of aluminum foil under each corner to keep it all level.Comment

There are professionals who repair this problem at a reasonable prices. Ive had it done a couple times. However since they have been baked, they may refuse to repair it. The BGA is a common problem with the LG UF series.Comment

by Comp_ProHello all,
I have a weird issue to solve here. This macbook air came in showing a black screen even though the backlight was lit. The display was not the issue as I tried another known good display. Upon trying to restart it, sometimes it boots up but freezes at the login page. More commonly however, the macbook will give the chime sound but then get stuck repeating the sound. The first chime sound is normal but the subsequent chimes sounds are crackly. Voltages seem normal, no liquid damage. I did find a blotch of something near one of the crystals on the other side of the CPU... -
by LEECH666Good day ladies and gentleman!
I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.
This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).
I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but... -

I am repairing a DeWalt DC011 radio. I found that the secondary coil of the transformer had gone open circuit and the amplifier ic had shorted. I have replaced both but I canβt tune it in to a station and the static is very quiet. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you-

Hello to the forum.
My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.
So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.
To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.
So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...-
