Now I'm fairly certain this is caused by failing LED strips, but I wanted to post here first before I bite the bullet and wait a month for the part to come in from China.
I was wondering if there is a way to jump start it on using my existing strips, IE: solder blob over the dead leds in the hopes of completing the circuit?
Or alternatively is it possible to trick the protection circuit into simply turning the TV on with the remaining live LEDs on the set?
I am eager to see the picture to ensure the quality is good before I spend money since all I have to go on is a black screen which is barely visible with a flashlight.
