Colored Vertical lines on Samsung UN55C6400RF TV

    Hi,
I have a Samsung 55inch TV (UN55C6400RF). It has started showing colored vertical lines. I have opened the TV and the power board had one pin (out1-) which is discolored (Model # bn44-00358b). Can this be bad or is it the T-Con board (Model # D03464E0J09B6012066). Any recommendations on diagnosing the issue?

    Thanks,
    Sanjay

Re: Colored Vertical lines on Samsung TV

Need photos of defect and the rest. Anyway Out1- is for the baklight and does not affect the pixels, anyway it has to be checked for voltage / resistance.

Attached is the pic of the screen and the Out1- pin as compared to the other pins. Moreover I am hearing a humming noise from the power board. I will read about how to test the power board.

I checked shopjimmy.com and it doesnt have the powerboard Model # bn44-00358bn for my TV, nor an alternate. Any recommendations where I could find an alternate version of the power board?

      Thanks,
      Sanjay

The problem is on the tcon board or the panel, most probably the panel, i'm trying to diagnose same problem on mine, probably a bad chip or couple of chip on tcon.

Were you able to diagnose the problem? If so please can you share the how and results. I tried measuring the voltages on the power board and didnt see any obvious problem.

          Thanks,
          Sanjay

              Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
              by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

              Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA vertical bars/horizontal lines
              by x_orange90_x
I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

Thin stable coloured vertical lines on Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC come and go
              by polaro
              Greetings,

I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks...

Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 - Pink vertical lines due to chipped LCD panel?
              by Anonmis
Hello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.

The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly...
