    Samsung LN32C350 Remote not Working

Im working on a 10 year old 32" Samsung LCD that the remote suddenly stopped working. No response from the tv and no blinking standby led. Its not the remote. I tested it on another Samsung TV and its fine. The IR sensor is on a separate board with the capacitive touch buttons. The buttons worked so I figured the main board was good and it had to be the IR receiver. I tried swapping the IR / touch board with another one. Still no response.

I'd like to try a main board diagnosis/repair because it would be a shame to trash the TV just cause of the remote. The panel still looks good and the rest of the functions still work. Wondering if anyone has a main board schematic for LN32C350D1D. The board is blue and the traces are hard to follow. Or a silver bullet fix. I searched some of the chips datasheets with limited success.

Do you have a supply voltage to the IR board, possibly 3.3V or 5V

Yes. There was 3.2V measured at the main board connector that goes to the IR/touch board. I tried to see a signal coming from the IR board while pressing buttons on the remote but it remained at 3.2V. I dont have a scope and maybe my multimeter isn't fast enough.

Does the dc voltage on KIN1 or KIN2 or IR alter as you press the remote controller.

Can you post a photo of the IR board.

There is no change in the voltage on kin1 or kin2 while pushing the remote. They stay at 3.2V.

Something I just noticed on the replacement IR board is the voltage on the IR pin is only 2.4V. The voltage on kin1 and k1in2 is 3.2V. No voltage changes when pressing the remote buttons. Whereas the IR pin on the original is 3.2V. I dont know if the difference is meaningful because the remote doesn't work with either.

With the connector to the IR board unplugged the voltage on the IR pin on the main board is 2.4V. Wondering if thats typical? And Im also questioning if the replacement IR board is any good.
