Update: The audio-out port also stops working when the rest of the audio stops. I fear it may be an issue with the main board.

from yours PSU photo, you have only 1 transformer between the HOT & COLD side, this mean to me that any issue at LEDs backlight strips will effected the currents at other rail such the main 13V. and in reverse wise if there issue at rail 13V will effected the LED BL, in this case we go first to check the cheap option which are the BL.

How should I check the backlight, and where do I get a replacement?

at yours case nothings better than eyes inspection to check the flickering LED in case one or more dont turn on. but consider the risk of yours screen size by disassembling.

I'll try to do this. The whole backlight flickers evenly so I'm not sure if it's one LED or something else.

It wasn't the power supply, I got another one and the issue persisted.

I'd rather avoid disassembling the panel, but is that the next best step besides replacing the t-con or main board? Also, is there any way to start the TV without the backlight connected? I tried disconnecting them but the TV refuses to start without them.

              1. You can take video, then go frame by frame, sometimes it's possible to see bad LED, it will turn off first.
              2. Measure voltages at LED connector when backlight is on and off.

try measure the voltage on BL sockets , you have 6 groups at least i can see from the photo, each group had one white wire i think its the LED-
so you need to measure with yours meter on mode 200V DC the black probe on chassis and the red probe on each LED+ wire (red/blue/grey) listed your reading over here.

Welp, tried getting at the backlights and ended up breaking the panel.

No big loss though. Thread closed, I guess.

Already took it apart for disposal, but there wasn't any obvious damage to the LEDs. Also, the TV wouldn't start without the LEDs or LCD plugged in, so I guess we'll never know. I'm going to just sell the boards now.

ACER BM320 Monitor - Horizonal Flickering Lines After a While
                        by reessi
                        Hello,

The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..

They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.

Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.

I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...

Sharp LC70LE747 Flickering - darkening gradually to the right side
                        by SmartSarah
                        Dear,

I can not pinpoint the following problem on my Sharp TV LC70LE747E.
While the left side of the screen is not affected at all the right side of the screen gradually fades to a kind of dark. I can best describe this darkness like a totally worn out CRT display or a gamma correction totally out of range. This darkness flickers like a flame, a dark one tough.
Sometimes when I restart the TV it disappears for a while.
The problem worsened over time the last few months.

I've replaced the t-con module without success. The problem remains.

                        by DrvLikHell
Hello everybody! It's been nine years and I'm back again with the same monitor that several people here helped me fix back then. The first time, I replaced two caps as was recommended here and the original problem was solved. Then it started acting up a few years later and I came back for a parts list and replaced a few more caps (I didn't make a post about that and don't remember which ones), and again the problem was solved. This time, however, I'm not sure if it's caps.

The monitor stays on but certain colors will flicker. Generally it's darker colors like dark greys or dark blues,...

                        by protocold
I would like to get some help on a 820-2850 logic board with intermittent charging problem. Sometimes the battery will charge all the way and sometimes magsafe would be cycling between green and orange.

I have already tried replacing dc-in board, swapping good battery, swapping genuine 85w chargers. None of that helps..

                        when it is not intermittent:
                        PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 12.07v

                        when it is intermittent:
When the light is green, PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 12.99v
when the light is orange, PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 11.62v

                        data line on the battery...
