Re: SONY KDL 43w805c does not accept commands
if toaster.. then the following
1- prepare the main boards
A- cover all sockets ( plastic ) with Aluminum Foil.. be sure the foil didn't touch the sockets such scart... audio Optic Out. LAN, video & audio in plugs , CI decoder
2- Test the boards size at the toaster to locate best place you will put it inside on plate
3- turn on the toaster full temperature and wait until it reach high temperature as the plate too
4- place the boards on the plate and close the door for 10 minutes if the temperature are round 280 degree
5- turn off the toaster.. carefully open its door with out let the boards shocking or moved
6- wait until its cooling down than take it out..
good luckLast edited by Diah; 01-15-2021, 04:13 PM.Leave a comment:

yes... but this time packing the boards complete at the kitchen often ... with high temperature and dont use air flow function .... or if you have toaster... etc... maybe the the BGA at the sandwich ... who knows... so better we go with this methodLeave a comment:

Re: SONY KDL 43w805c does not accept commands
after that let this gun to the maximum heat ,,,let it run far from the board until it reach the high temperature if it was 350 degree, then face it to the chip area and calculate 6 second .. such 11 , 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 then leave it cool downLeave a comment:

by crackedprintI have a strange fault on a Sony amplifier. The volume control varies the display from MIN, then 1 up to 30 and then MAX as expected. At MIN there is no sound. However, at 1 it is quite loud and increasing above 1 does not change the sound level.
I have tried a Cold Reset as per the service manual.
I have looked at the I2C clock and data to volume control chip IC501 (BD3499FV). Data is only sent to IC501 when the volume is set to MIN or 1. At any other setting no data is sent to IC501.
I have looked all the way through the service manual and tried many online...-

by karthurOn this Vizio D65x, the volume will change on its own. I don't mean like during commercials where the volume will increase. I mean its like the (+) volume button on the remote is pressed and the actual volume dialog is displayed on the screen going up. It will do this, then the volume may start going down. It might go all the way to "0"or it might stop at a different number, then start going back up. The whole time its doing this, the volume dialog is shown on the screen.
It wont do it until it has been "ON" for 20 or 30 minutes, so it does seem to be heat related.... -

by RuptorHas anybody had the problem of the digital clicking from the volume control coming through the speakers. I guess the mute should activate as everything seems to have a mute from the analogue switch LC7822 to prevent output of stuff on the speakers but the mute circuits are really complex. The pcb is very badly manufactured as if it is over etched and not cleaned properly before being screen printed because I have fixed one fault but a wide track lifted off real easy with very little heat requiring extra repair. I dread touching the board so would like to go straight to the problem if someone has...

by jason123New to Audio equipment. Received this 7.2 Surround Sound system - had a blown channel and fixed that (0.22 ohm resistor, 2 transistors, and 1 100 ohm replaced)
All channels now work. However, when I raise the volume with knob or remote, it doesn't work smoothly - you can heard distortion, and some speakers don't seem to work at max or somewhere in between..
First thought was the actual audio switch - but then Remote volume control shouldn't have this problem, but it does.
Second thought was the ribbon cable from front display to control board (V-Flex,...-
