Greetings all:
Have been following the forum with regard to the early Samsung LCD TV's - in particular those that utilise the motherboard part No BN41-00813B - Bordeaux.
I've been having problems with my particular Samsung TV (model LE32R87BD) constantly switching itself on and off. In view of this, I took the advice from the forum regarding replacing various (SMD type) capacitors on the motherboard, etc.
But for all of the effort involved have been to no avail, I.e. I cannot seem to fix the problem - c'est la vie, sigh ........!
This being the case, I have seen some of the above motherboards (BN41-00813B - Bordeaux) for sale on EBAY and at reasonable prices, However there appears to be some debate regarding these motherboards.
Basically that the part number (BN41-00813B) isn't a "one fits all" solution, I.e. if I purchased one, it may not work within my particular TV - even though it is a "Bordeaux" type, BN41-00813B and looks identical to the one that I currently have?? I can only surmise that there must be an eprom device on the board which must be programmed for particular models?
Could I ask if anyone can confirm this, or is it just a ploy from the supplier's to inflate the prices?
Look forward to all constructive responses.
Cheers
Chris D
