      Re: lg 42pt350r plasma

30F124 and IRG71C28U are used, I have two of these tvs here because the "technician" that touched them destroyed the boards.
Information I found on the internet is:

      Q708 Q709 - IRG71C28U
      Q713 Q703 - 30F124
      Q711 Q710 - FDP33N25
      IC701 - ADUM1234
      IC702 IC703 IC711 - FAN73711

The ADUM and FAN rarely fail.

The IRG are 600V high current IGBTs, I've read on forums about 30J127 and RJP63F3 could be used in their places, but there are slim chances of buying any of those that wouldn't be a fake.

So are you saying that 30j124 was not used in this ysus ? Tomorrow I will cross check with the list you just posted. Thanks a lot for your time

I don't know if it's originally on this board, because both of mine had all the IGBTs missing too, but all the repair kits use the IRG intead of 30J124 or 30J127, and the brazilian forum I've read multiple users said that the board comes with IRGs.

But is yours working now? Please check the values you have on Q705 and Q712.

none of them are working, and they won't for a long time until I can get a Y-SUS replacement because the dumbass that messed with them ripped all the traces out.
If the IGBTs or MOSFETs are defective, there will be a short between their pins, measuring at max 100 OHMs, pretty easy to spot the failure at these Y-SUS boards, the problem is getting original parts to replace with.

It has perfect image for a few minutes then blow up? probably counterfeit IGBTs, what are you replacing them with?
Chech the heatsinks for overheat, they probably can handle the peak voltage but not the current, this is why they fail.

                    Hello Guys,

I am not familiar at all with plasma tv's but i tried my luck anyway since business is so bad. We gotta try, right?
Anyway, the original problem was a tv clicking and not starting due to a short circuit on the Z-Sustain board (on the right side from the rear).
I found two transistors shorted (30F123) and changed the gate driver ic's as well. I think they were FAN73711. I soldered for dry joint on power supply, Y-Sustain and Z-sustain. Started up the TV and the short was gone so i had an image but.....
Lots of colorful speckles on the image and also there...

                    Hello,
I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
                    a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
                    c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.
How to confirm Y -Buffer board...

                    Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
                    by jm1234
                    Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...
