50uh5500 LED Strip LED type

So I have a 50uh5500 that has the LG logo flash and then it shuts the backlights down do to LED fault. It has 5835-W50002-2P00 LED strips.

There is only one bad LED on one LED strip and I just want to replace the one LED.

Does anyone know the LED type for the 5835-W50002-2P00? Or something that is a close match even?

A new set of strips is only $35 to $40 on ebay. If you dont want to be opening up your tv every couple of months, just replace them all with new. The existing LEDs have wear and are likely to fail as well. After replacement, set your backlight level to 50 to 60% for all inputs to make them last.

The newer model strips may have tiny LED modules which may not even be replaceable.

I very much do not want to spend the $40 when i could by a 100 led's for $5 and replace the bad ones. I also hate waste. I do not want to throw out what still works.

Might glean some info. from that page, they are 3 or 6 volts, most of them look like 3 volt, maybe the number 5835 has something to do with the size of the leds: https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale...=1&groupsort=1

for anyone else that comes along these are the best I could find. They seem like a colour temperature (12000-15000k), voltage (3v) and size (3030) match.

Did you pop off the lens and take a look at the LED? Did you remove it to confirm the footprint and which side is positive? LG and Samsung LEDs have reverse footprints. Pictures? Slow shipping from China is taking months not weeks currently. Still waiting for epacket from March.

I did confirm with calipers the footprint was 3030 and I did make sure the negative pad was the larger of the two as is the leds from this led strip.

as far as shipping I paid the extra $3 to get 16 to 26 day delivery.

took 1 month to the day surprisingly.


soldered in new led and back lights now work fine.

I have the same tv with the same problem that i bought it for cheap, i ordered a set of backlight from aliexpress, before i even troubleshoot the tv, because this tv model is known bad backlight strips.hopefully,it won't take an eternity to receive them!

I get all my lights on ebay from tvrepairledtester. He's in Georgia with delivery in 3-4 days. Brand new dirt cheap. I bet he has family ties in China who supply him. Was out of stock once, so purchased from Shop Jimmy. Guess what, same lights and packaging
