Thanks. I am guessing then that the problem then (after googling for a good while), that it could then be a main Board problem, or tcon board problem?
I'm guessing the tcon board is under the center bottom screwed area between the power board and the main board.
Is there an order of process to work out my next plan of attack?
A number of threads I have read say to see if you can see the leads working or not by looking through any holes, but I see no holes to view them anyway. Some say to use a flashlight on the main front screen to see if you can determine movement.. or to turn volume up and listen if you get audio (I hear nothing), or to turn off the power at the wall, hold power on for 30 seconds via remote and see if anything happens.
Since the main board is not sending the T-con on signal to turn on the switched 12V for running T-CON board, thus you will not have any image on the screen.
Since Dimming control is also missing, the backlights will not be on either.
So something is telling the main board not to send those signals.
BTW, are you getting any error blinking code on the front panel of the TV?
No guarantee but I would try a mainboard, looked but didn't see any on ebay AU, this one appears to be a match, looks to be a few available for about the same price, you can match up the numbers on the sticker to be sure or the panel numbers if available: https://www.ebay.com/itm/55-Sony-LCD...UAAOSwEGVeFQBz
Yes, if it is just that part, then it is really a no brainer I guess.
What do you think, with your knowledge, would be the chance that it could again be a further fault?
Would a technician simply do it this way, or would they undertake some other testing points before they took to simply try a new board, also punting that could be the problem. I guess most wouldn't have a spare board to test with?
This is my board. I take it that if I use the links supplied, that I need a board that has all the matching numbers to my board, as I note that some look the same, but some of the digits differ.
many seem to be 1-982-454-11 whereas mine ends with the numbers 21
I'm not exactly sure what the difference is in the last 2 numbers, something to do with what country/region? The way I matched up was by the panel number in my search, what are all the numbers on your sticker on the mainboard?
Thanks.. The ones on nomoresonys link all seem to be one's with too many rca Jack's.. It seems odd to me when some mention they are for the 65x7500f...isn't it confusing..
