    Vizio m50-c1

    I have a vizio m50-c1 tv... when I got it an turned it on it had a Purple tent to it... so looking it up lead me hear where I found a post with the same problem...
    So I opened the tv up... every thing looks good nothing I can see is burnt so that post lead me to the t-con an unplugging one of the Display wires... an that worked I got half the tv to work... I can see load up an Menu... was asking if I should buy a new t-con an see if that fixes it or do you think the tv panel is fired??

      the key is what happens when you unplug the opposite side one (ie reverse the test)? Its probably not a tcon problem.... BUT the panel can be saved depending on what the real problem is with the panel.

          You dont get a picture it looks black kinda purple an when you hit the menu button you can see shadows where the menu would be... it does the same thing as if both are plugged it

              VIZIO E70-E3 Half picture with half TCON

              Hi,
              I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
              Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
              I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
              Main board appears fine, too.
              I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
              There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
              If both are connected, the screen is black.

              If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...

              Hello all ~

              Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

              When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

              I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

              The current main board on my Vizio m652i-b2 only has 1 of 4 HDMI ports working. Also, the coaxial port is not working.

              So I ordered a replacement board. It boots up the tv, but the display is dark in areas, colors are off, etc. I have seen information online that a setting in the service menu may need to be adjusted. Have tried many ways to access the service menu using remote codes, but none work.

              Can someone here provide the confirmed method for accessing the service menu on this tv? Thanks in advance!

              TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?

              Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...
