Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
Hello Hauke,
In search of documentation for the repair of a KS8090 55inch that only showed colored Lines in The Middle Third with changing colors and Wirkung background-light and Wirkung Sound. I came across your thread. Unfortunately, there is no information if you have come further.
In my case i think it destroyed the mainboard. However, a used mainboard of identical construction and name only shows vertical lines on the entire surface of the TV, which change color as the content of the picture changes. I guess it is also due to the wrong "programming" of the mainboard because the original model and the panel size are different.
How I can access the memory is still unknown to me. However, I have some experience with Linux and Raspberry PIs. As a result, I am of the opinion that I can transfer suitable settings. However, I also lack sources for the appropriate memory content.
As a trainee at Deutsche Bahn as an industrial electrician, I also have access to the most common tools and equipment.
Have you got any further in solving the problem and can you possibly help me further?

Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
Yes, I was too fast. I didn´t see that those passives were missing..
Is there an other way to get the output of my TV on a second TV? What happens if I connect two TVs with the one connect cable?Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
If they did not install the jacks on the board I suspect there will also be other componets not installed that connect the jacks to the circuit. Resistors, caps, diodes etc.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
Because the One Connect Box has just 4 HDMI, 2 USB, SAT and Optical Audio. This is my box: https://shock-store.de/multimedia/31...ox-bn91-17814c
Ok I will try out all variations.
Edit: I attached a photo of my one connect box pcb.
It looks like there are 2 connectors "missing" which could be the ones for analog video.
Edit 2: Sorry for multiple editing. I checked another samsung UHD mainboard and these are really the analog I/Os. The connectors have the same footprint. I try to solder the connectors from the board to the one connect box. Maybe I am lucky and these are enabled. I also added some more pictures.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
why you look on the main board and you have one connect unit !!!I really can´t find any component/av inputs. There is no yellow or blue connector on the mainboard. In the user manual is written: "Connecting via a component cable (only models with COMPONENT IN /AV IN)". It seems my one is one without those inputs.
I got the Firmware from russian website which links seem to be blocked here. dump/crt_tv/samsung_ue55ks8000l_shassi_main_board_bn41_02504a_jazz_m_usit/102-1-0-63971
dump the SPI flash from the cracked screen you bought and flash it to your original and try... and if you dumped your original before erase it and flash it with downloaded bin... also flash it again on your original and try... as we know now your original SPI workingLeave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
The only thing I can find is labeled "EXT-Link", but I think this is a serial connection.
After some time googling, I am pretty sure that there is no analog video input at this TV.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
I will search for it. The only thing I found until now was the panel selection menü.
I never heard of something like this. This sounds awesome.
I checked the one connect box and the mainboard - I can´t find any scart output. Is there an other way to get the video output?Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
Thank you nomoresonys! I managed to do a factory reset. I pressed INFO -> MENU -> MUTE -> POWER. After the TV booted completely I pressed OK several times to select the factory reset.
Now the TV starts with the initialization sounds, but the screen is dark. The backlight is alright.
At this site I found some pictures of the service menu: https://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=10732
There are some configurations about LVDS, T-CON and Panel available in the service menu. I think "LVDS format", "Panel EEPROM upgrade" and "Panel flash upgrade" are interesting. But I don´t know what these really mean...
Maybe I will try to call samsung tomorrow. I never had luck with customer support until now, but maybe they can help me.
Edit: I found this menu in an other Samsung UHD TV of mine (Picture attached). Maybe this could be the reason? But how to select the right one if I cant see anything..

Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
One reset procedure here, not sure if it will work with your model:
While the TV is On, press and hold the EXIT button on the Samsung remote control for 12 seconds. The standby light should blink the entire time without interruption.
The Factory Reset screen displays a warning message. Select OK to reset the TV.
Also try this one:
Make sure that your TV is OFF.
Take your Smart Remote and simultaneously press Info + Menu + Mute + Power.
Next, enter the following sequence into your remote: Mute > 1 > 8 > 2 > Power.
Your television will boot up in service mode. Using your remote, go to Options > Factory Reset.
Your television should now turn off and a simple restart should proceed with the setup.
This maybe difficult in your case since you can’t see the screen. Samsung has had plenty of issues with firmware updates that bricked their TV’s. You do wnat to go ahead and call the Samsung customer service line for your country and see if they can help you out with the firmware.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
I don´t really know. The mainboard from the TV with broken panel also creates vertical colored lines in my TV.
Yes, but the mainboard of the 55" TV with broken panel does also not work in my TV.
After reflashing all EEPROM and Flash ICs on my original mainboard it starts. Now I can hear the starting sound and the backlight comes up. But the panel stays black.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55KS8090 - Mainboard replacement failed
Every type of display has it's own screencode, a 65"has another code than a 55" so I guess that's wil be the problem.Leave a comment:

by MireniaHi everyone,
I've got a little "problem child": my Dell Latitude 7420 2-in-1, which had a faulty mainboard.
I replaced it, but ever since, the touchscreen no longer works — and honestly, I’m running out of ideas…
In Windows Device Manager, I just see an I2C HID Device with error code 10. Sporadically, the touchscreen is recognized correctly for just a few seconds, but I haven’t been able to determine under which circumstances this happens.
The touchscreen also doesn’t work in UEFI/BIOS, although it’s enabled... -
by Akira81Hello everyone,
I have this 55" LG 55LF652V-ZA smart TV which suddenly started flashing intermittently every 2 seconds with the backlight.
If I aimed the light bulb of my cell phone I could see the underlying image even in those fractions of time when the LEDs were off and the audio instead came out continuously.
Armed with a lot of space and patience, I decided to open the TV, immediately noticing that a LED had flamed out and also burned a portion of that reflective white panel behind the transparent LED diffusers.
