    Samsung PN60E7000ffxza no VS_ON

Hi guys, looking for a little help here. I picked up this Samsung TV PN60E7000 in the winter time, guy said it used to intermittently turn on but that it stopped turning on altogether. I brought it home and left it in the cold sunroom for the winter, and one time when it was cold, it turned on and displayed a picture. Now that spring has arrived and I decided to try and fix it. Long story short, at this point I have replaced the main board, logic board, X and Y sustain boards with no success. The PSU itself blew last night and I was able to fix it by changing the QS802/804 mosfets (which seem to be common failure for this supply). Anyway, if I test the PSU standalone (jumping PS_ON to gnd, VS_ON to 3.3V), it produces all the right voltages (5v, 15V, Vs=210, VA=57). However, if I install it and try to turn on the TV (by isolating the mainboard, jumping pin #3,4 on the logic board, PS_ON to gnd), the PSU produces the 5 and 15V supplies but does not go past that. The VS_ON remains 0, which I think is saying that the logic board is NOT sending the VS_ON command. I have no idea why it wouldn't do that. There is a confusing signal called VS_CON, It also goes from the PSU to the logic board, however I am not sure who/what is supposed to be driving it. VS_CON also remains at 0 when connected to the logic board. I think this signal is probably what is right now not triggering the logic board to turn on but I would like to know if anyone else has a clue what this does. At this point I feel reasonably certain that if I can get the logic board to fire up, the TV will show test patterns. I am at work right now so no pictures, I can add pictures later on if needed.

Check to see if this one has a c562 on Y main. It should be by U5014 if it is there then freeze spray it while it is off then turn it on. If it turns on then replace with 10uf 50v electrolytic.

I already tried replacing the Y-main but also before doing that tried changing that cap. But this problem that I am describing doesn't have anything to with Y-sustain firing up. The VS voltage never gets generated to begin with to activate the Ymain.

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
        by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

LG 60PK550 Logic Control Board EBR63450301
        by Yanleb
Hi all, I just want to share the repair of my 60PK550-UA TV set.

The TV set was powering on, just no image. After verification, nothing wrong on the YSus or ZSus boards. Nothing wrong on the main board either.

But I noticed that the LED was not flashing on the Logic Control Board. This is an EBR63450301. The LED is supposed to flash even with all the flat cables disconnected, with only the power cable attached.

All the voltages measured at the electrolytic capacitors on the board were good. From top left to bottom right:
        C57: 3.30V
