    Sony XBR55X800E remote not working

    Hi everyone!

    My tv is barely 6 months out of warranty and it appears my IR receiver has gone out. The remote has been tested to work just fine on other TVs, but this tv doesn't respond to any pressed buttons at all. After troubleshooting it with Sony and factory resetting numerous times, the tv is now stuck on the welcome screen awaiting my input from the remote to set it up! I'm not opposed to having to solder, but I'd rather find the part number if possible and just swap out the boards. What are your thoughts? I've seen a couple of other posts about this with other models, but not any of the XBR model numbers.

      use wireless air mouse to make the setup and following steps over SONY Recommend about RC don't work

          I tried to check and look for the Boardview and schematic for this Sony Vaio with mb marking DA0MSAMBAG0, the problem of this sony is the fan not working or spinning, i checked the 5volts to red and yellow, black zero volts and white zero volts. i checked the fan and test to direct 4volts it is spinning. Any diagram to trace this fan not spinning. i change the new fan still not work. Any one have a boardview and schematic diagram?...

          I have this receiver for at least 10 years. Usually, we just use the remote for turning on/off and adjusting the volume. Recently, the remote control started not able to turn the receiver on. Later, the volume also could not be adjusted by the remote control.

          At first, I thought that it was the usual problem which can be fixed by cleaning the contacts on the switches and the pcb. I opened the remote and clean it with alcohol. The remote did work again after that. But after one day, it did not work again. I opened it again and clean with alcohol and contact cleaner. Again it worked...

          For this Dick Smith TV GE6878 (Thompson) I replaced the broken remote with a universal it kinda works though if its more than a few meters away sometimes the buttons register and sometimes they wont so I bought another remote from another brand and it has the same problem, I've had an old TV in the past that the sensor died completely and I replaced it to fix it could this be a similar problem? I tried looking for a service manual, spare parts for a receiver and a parts list but I couldnt find any info. can someone please help me to find the info online for a service manual or where I can buy...

          Dear forum members,
          I'm working on this power supply for ps4 slim, that behaves in a similar manner as other cases but I can't find a way to solve the problem.
          When it came to me, externally the ps4 had standby voltage, clicking the disc eject button made the triple beep (without disc inside) and cliking on the power button made the blue power light turn on and then all turned off within 1 second.

          Im working on a 10 year old 32" Samsung LCD that the remote suddenly stopped working. No response from the tv and no blinking standby led. Its not the remote. I tested it on another Samsung TV and its fine. The IR sensor is on a separate board with the capacitive touch buttons. The buttons worked so I figured the main board was good and it had to be the IR receiver. I tried swapping the IR / touch board with another one. Still no response.

          I'd like to try a main board diagnosis/repair because it would be a shame to trash the TV just cause of the remote. The panel still looks...
