Lol you mean heat it up and pull leg up? Or can the sensor be soldered off?

use thin soldering head with flux,,, don't heat the chip in total

Ok, let's see how the remote will work after removing 6 pin. The ir sensor and keyboard (joystick) are connected to this micom.

and this sounds as the same old attack to others, every now and then it would be pretty to see from this individual documentation at support of these funny stories.. i will not support Dac12 more because is a novice and trends to listen funny technicians.. good luck (especially when you'll have to reattach virus size pin to a chip with super glue... my god..

Please don't be offended, I admit i am a novice first time on a electronics board. What would you suggested?
I can't freeze screen ribbons as you suggested because I cant get access to them.

I rely and value all your opinions but as you can clearly see I am at a disadvantage due to no electrical background

Well, everything is correct, the IR sensor receives a signal from the remote control, and from this IR sensor the coding signal comes to the input 6 pin. MiCOM and MICOM gives the command to turn on the TV...

Ok, OP cut 6 pin. on MICOM and give any command from the service remote control and we'll see the TV's reaction, and we'll all have a laugh at the same time.

                                            Hi Community,

I've got the above model that activates the relay (clicks) and powers on the LG logo power light on when turned on. It then almost immediately turns off. I not noticed any image on the screen or heard any sound during this brief period.

                                            Checks show:
3.5v on SMPS on (in off state, no other voltages present incl pwr on)
