    Samsung UE46ES7000UXXU

    Hi All
Firstly just a update on my health !! I went to hospital late November for my stem cell harvesting ready for my stem cell transplant during December.
But unfortunately i fell very ill with a chest infection and as my immune system was zero due to the chemotherapy they had to abort the procedure and admit me to hospital for a few days and pump me full of drugs. And my stem cell transplant is now scheduled for early 2019 hopefully all will go well second time round. But i am feeling much better now just getting a bit board so decided to start having a tinker with TV's again.

Now this this TV belongs to my Sister she phoned me saying it had developed this fault ! when she turned it on one morning there was a black vertical line appear on the left side of the picture i will include some photo's of the symptom and of the back TV ?
Now i have removed the t-con ribbon on the faulty side and cleaned contacts with a micro fibre cloth and also tried changing the ribbon with one i had in stock but fault still remains i have also removed the screen bezel and applied pressure to the ribbons either side of the line on the panel side and also the driver board side but nothing alters it ? Now as you can see from the photo's the picture either side of this line is perfect. So what i am asking has any one had a similar fault to this and cured it ? could the T-con cause this error ? I have tested sm components on the lcd driver board with a mastech ms8910 but nothing reads faulty. so could this be the T-con causing this or is the panel going faulty ?
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Glad you are feeling better, hope you have a full recovery. Guess since its not a tab fault, may be a solder connection problem, try very slightly flexing the mainboard with your finger in different places, just a little don't want to break it, see if the line changes or goes away.

      Thank you nomoresonys
I have tried pressing all over the main board with a plastic prodder causing the main board to flex but nothing happens the line stays steady no flicker or anything happening ?
Have also tried the same on T-con and p/s boards nothing happens at all ?

Sometimes reseating and or cleaning the tcon ribbon cables with a pencil eraser or isopropyl alcohol works, not too vigorously theyre kind of delicate.

:-( the vertical line is not looking good. If you remove the tcon to panel cable on that side, what the resulting display? My guess is that the "track" at the panel in and around the area has a break and likely not repairable. It could be the tab ribbon going to the panel but more likely at the connection points as opposed to the ribbon itself.

Hi, first the tv, unfortunately i'm pretty sure it's not fixable since i f pressure doesn't affect then the COF driver on the chip is maybe bad, but in this case you have not to do pressure on the flat but on the COF chip, if it changes then the only possible solution (never tried) is unglue the side of it with special glue remover, then do a air reflow job on it, then if problem gone reapply glue, this is an extreme hard solution.

For your healt, i have followed many times an interesting Italian TV program where a Paperwriter (!) keeps medical lessons and promotes a simple "diet" that prevents huge amount of diseases. That is approximately: NO carbohydrates, NO sweets/sugars or th less possible (fructose better), NO legumes, NO potatoes, NO corn. Therefore NO bread/pasta/pizza/rice, max 2 fruits/day, cheese only if at least 24 months old. He wrotes 3 big book that are best sellers.. Bye..
