Can we see the pictures of the whole back side of the TV showing all the boards?
You also need to find out if there is 12VDC at both ends of the SMD fuse on the T-CON board or not.

which cable(s) are you disconnecting at the tcon? you need to do one at a time and also you need to hit the menu or have something feeding an input to hopefully find some thing on the screen otherwise it might go into "screen saver / no input mode".

The top hard connectors. Are they correct ones?

not really... those provide the "inputs" to the tcon... if they are disconnected, then the tcon will be somewhat "mindless". The bottom connectors pass "processed" signals to the panel... disconnecting them one at a time may tell you more about whats happening from the tcon to the panel and beyond.

so when I disconnect the bottom ribbon cable one at a time. Ones side disconnected half of screen turns grey fuzzy, no response from pressing menu or any other key. Reconnect that side disconnect other same half of screen that was grey turned purple. Still no response from menu key.

hmmmm... somewhat unusual for a vizio... I would have expected the disconnected half to go white while the connected side maybe anything but white... depending on what the input is. Can you post a picture of the display during these two tests... note: all other cables are connected appropriately during this test... right?

The cable you are doing are the flat pinkish color cables between T-CON board and the LCD panel, correct?

that's more like it.... to me this indicates that the tcon to panel (and beyond) appear to be responding appropriately, so the question remains, why isn't the signal getting into the tcon to be displayed. Are you sure that you have something to display... either menu or some other input.

Ok ordered and replaced the main board. Now it gets weirder. When first powered on the back lights get brighter than before but then get dimmer and lightly flash occasionally. I press the menu button and the screen appears to lighten in the area of where the menu is supposed to be but still no picture or menu. I disconnect the ribbons one at a time below the tcon and this time nothing really happens. No one side grey like before.
