Greetings.
I need some info, help, direction to go, about Graphics cards. I have a Powercolor R9-270x 4gb. It works on basic windows 7 vga driver but not on any AMD driver( black screen on win boot with system crash) I have reinstalled win 7 and ran DDU also. I have used original AMD driver that worked from 2013 to 2018,same result. Replacement card works fine and this card fails on two other PC'S. I have checked web sites and find zilch. Most sites say reflowing or reballing GPU will fix this problem (MAYBE). I would like to learn more about how these cards function or what voltages and resistances should be found on the other devices on this board. Is anyone recording V&R readings of known working cards? (Not Benchmark results). The Mosfets (datasheet below) are 6mm PQFN and those are the last thing I want to remove. With newer gaming cards running $700.00 and up; I hope they become as repairable as TV's.
PS. How to tell whether cap is Dry Alum electrolytic or Alum Poly ??
CORRECTION: Caps in photo are 820 at 2.5volts
