  • solder mask question

When I use UV curable solder mask I find it is too thick. Is there a suitable thinner that that would duplicate factory look and remain curable.

    Off Topic Maybe??

I have wondered for sometime now as to why Electronic Manufacturers of consumer goods produce so many different designs (Board Layouts etc..) and still make money even though the features remain about the same. Hopefully someone working for Samsung, Vestel etc.. will enlighten me.

    USB inputs fail

I have an older Dell Optiplex 960 Windows 7 system that has been running fine for several years. Lately all Usb inputs have randomly stopped working (keyboard and mouse not recognized). I have run AV and SFC and MWB with nothing found. It does not matter which program is running (even in the middle of Solitaire) when problem occurs. Restarting PC does not fix the problem. Cannot enter BIOS SETUP MODE. However unplugging pc from wall power and replugging fixes problem for several days. Where should I look first to solve this problem,, or what actually gets depowered when unplugging a PC that is...

Nintendo Switch, and you can only save (game save data) on Nintendo server. They won't let you save to sd card.

    Server emulation??

I have very little knowledge of server usage but am willing to ask!

How easy or difficult would it be to emulate the Nintendo online server in order to upload GAME SAVE DATA to a local machine. This would be the only function I would be looking for, NOT for online access or play.

To be clear I am only looking for a way to save SAVE DATA to a local machine instead of on a paid online service BECAUSE I DO NOT play online ever,, and have no need for the service.

    Define: Strapping

I have seen many mentions of "strapping" on these forums but still do not know what the manufacturer means by this as shown in Example below: Also does anyone have a good reference for terms used by Asian manufacturers such as "stitch" in lower right of Example 2...

  • Re: New motherboard??

    Thanks for the reply.

I thought as much but wondered if factory did any testing by mounting the board in a case. It was purchased and fulfilled by Amazon and a replacement is on the way. It was probably returned as new. The small solder pads that encircle the mounting holes show the imprint of screws being tightened in the normal way, I just expect new when I believe I am purchasing NEW.

  • Bueller? anyone? anywhere?

Sorry but I have to ask again.
..1... Can a tv eeprom file be extracted from a firmware update.
..2... (Or does anyone know how the original eeprom chip was programed).
..3... Must a set be operational for a firmware update to be installed.
..4... Can the microprocessor be forced on.
I have a Samsung un22f5000fxza with all proper voltages in standby but does not turn on. I believe the EEPROM is corrupt. I have the blank chips and programmer on hand but cannot find .bin file. This set has an external power adaptor with 14.9 volts. No power board in set.

    EEPROM maybe??

I would like to ask if anyone has the answers to the following questions??: If yes, then please reply.

    1. Does the firmware download from a TV manufacturers web site contain the EEPROM dump info?

    2. Is the original eeprom (if erased in circuit) rewritten with a firmware install?

  • Graphic card HELP?!!!

    Greetings.
I need some info, help, direction to go, about Graphics cards. I have a Powercolor R9-270x 4gb. It works on basic windows 7 vga driver but not on any AMD driver( black screen on win boot with system crash) I have reinstalled win 7 and ran DDU also. I have used original AMD driver that worked from 2013 to 2018,same result. Replacement card works fine and this card fails on two other PC'S. I have checked web sites and find zilch. Most sites say reflowing or reballing GPU will fix this problem (MAYBE). I would like to learn more about how these cards function or what voltages and...

    SMD parts

Looking for some insight to smd part problems.
1 Does anyone know if specific parts fail from non use on a regular basis (res goes high or low while being unpowered)
2 How is EEPROM data ORIGINALLY installed to device.
3 Does anyone have info on terms used on schematics(ex. zcr210_ad.... used to describe a resistor. What does ZC or AD mean)
4 Does ferrite bead resistance equal dc resistance or impedance at a specific freq.
