Possibly planned obsolescence. I can imagine samsung incorperating a self destruct to the nand . i can reccomend not updating .

The software is perfectly fine, always update your TV to the newest software. The software is not the issue.
The chip which holds the Nand is the issue. The chip itself will start to deteriorate and thus parts of the software will no longer be accessible causing the shutdown and cycling in an attempt to correct the issue.
This is a physical issue on the Nand, not the software itself.

Hi.. I have the same tv.. and i disconnect the Lvds cable and short pins 3-4 and now.. the tv stay on.. But i can't see any color test on the screen like the video suggest .. So.. the problem is the main board or the logic board? .. if i put back the lvds cable the tv power cycle each mins.. Thanks

run test pattern (leave lvds cable connected & short pins 3-4 on logic bd)
if set stays on with test pattern (check display for defects) - bad main bd. You probable got a bad main bd on replacement. most common on these sets.

Can you please tell me more about the NAND failure? Can the NAND image be read with a chip reader from the bad NAND? Or is the image incomplete/corrupted and you need a good image to reprogram to a good chip?

The Samsung NAND part number is K9GAG08U0E (16Gb FLASH).

If the Samsung branded NAND chip is prone to failure, do you trust a new Samsung NAND part? or do you use another manufacturer like Hynix or ST or Toshiba?

Just to address some of the previous questions as well, sometimes this main board failure can manifest as it cycling so quickly that the splash screen doesn't even come on. No picture can even be seen on screen and it cycles very quickly. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes for it to cycle. TV turns on fine, works for 30 minutes, then cycles and repeats every 30 minutes. There is no specific set time, it is anywhere from instantly cycling to as long as 30 minutes. In the hundreds of boards we have serviced generally the cycling is within the first 30 minutes.

To answer another previous question from Fox66 yes if the cycling stops when you disconnect the main board and short pins 3-4 on the logic board then that confirms the cycling was due to the main board.

Unspun01, the Nand chip can be read and have the software extracted from it, however if your chip is damaged and causing issues when the TV is trying to read it, then what ever device you are using to read and pull the software from the chip will encounter the same issue. What this means is that if you reprogram another chip with the software pulled from a bad chip, it will not write the software incorrectly onto the next chip. You will want to extract it from a good working chip in order to properly install that software onto a new chip.

Yes the Samsung Branded Nand chip is prone to failure but generally only after several years of use. We are able to get these same Nands and replace them with very high success. We offer a 1 year warranty on our repairs, and only see repeat failures in 1 out of 100 or so repairs within the year. Replacing these defective chips with new ones I estimate allows the set to work for anywhere between 2-7 years dependent on the use of the set. No it is not a permanent solution, but it is back to factory standard. We have not yet found a way to install a different higher quality chip that would be compatible as replacement at this time.

Issue is mostlikely on the IC firmware found on the main.

I know this is an old topic and I've searched over and over but can't seem to figure it out.

So I got this tv from a friend because he was getting rid of it due to the power cycling. I've been trying to fix it for the past few weeks and can't seem to figure it out and wanted to reach out to see if y'all could help me out a bit.

It'll get past the smart tv logo, run for 3 minutes then shut off.

So to start I followed along with this video https://youtu.be/JjrwTZC5nVg and got all the values it said I should get. When I put it in the color test mode it ran for without resetting it, which means it should've been a bad main board (BN94-04709a). I ordered a replacement from Tvpartstoday and replaced it. The issue was worse resetting every 5-15 seconds. So I thought it might be a logic board. I tried the new logic board with the old main board and the new main board. Same results (3 minutes with old, 5-15seconds with new board).

My only thought is that it could be the power supply board at this point. Or that one of the replacements they sent is bad.

I've looked over the PS board and there's no bulging or leaking at the tops of the caps. Nothing seems apparently bad. Would this be the issue? Do I just need to wait for it to come back in stock somewhere?

I can share pics and any other info needed. Any and all advise will be appreciated. Thanks guys
