    Samsung PN51D450A2D

I have a dead Samsung PN51D450A2D I am trying to help a coworker with. What I have found out is as follows. When you plug it up to power you hear a click of the relay. When the back is off and you hit power you see a red LED close to the digital audio jack on the main board with the other jacks. From a search I think this is called a
    Main Board BN96-19471A , BN41-01608A.

You also see a flashing green light on the board almost in the center just above the stand where a lot of ribbon cables plug in. I did a search and found it called a T-CON Board LJ41-09475A.

From searching other repairs on this model the TV not turning on it looks to be either the main power supply or the Main Board BN96-19471A , BN41-01608A with all the jacks. I did try to find a voltage on the power supply board but did not get any, I think its more of a issue I didn't check the right spot.

With that said and it does click, have the red light and also the green light that cuts on and off I am thinking the main board. Before I tell the fellow to get this board does anyone have suggestions on this? If anyone has suggestions on checking voltage where would I need to check? I tried to the jacks with pin probes on my meter to get in there but I never seemed to get a voltage. When I use to work on TV sets you still had picture tubes, other tubes and plug in boards. I do work on computer hardware but I am rusty on tv sets and forgot most troubleshooting on them.

if you disconnect the cable that runs from the p/s to the main board, do you get backlights?

He has a plasma tv. Its not a tcon its a logic board. There are no backlights either. Its called raster I think. There are youtube videos on this subject that point to the ymain.

i saw the word t-can and didn't see the word plasma.
        plus no pics.

in that case. what do you have for vs and va in relation the the panel label?

picture of the control board and the whole back would help endlessly.

Thanks for the replies. As far as what it looks like it is exactly like this one from another post here from what I can tell.

          http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2877/1...26d8cdb0_c.jpg

From what tvtimmy said its the ymain board, is this the Main Board BN96-19471A that has the input and output jacks antenna connections? From what I have dug up it seems that what other posts and sites say. I am way too rusty on TVs and they changed so much from when I use to work on them.

            Re: Samsung PN51D450A2D

Update on this TV. From the info here and suggested we ordered the main board. It will now power on and you can hear sound but no picture. Before all we heard was a relay click then it went off. Now you can cut it on and get the red power light to come on and stays on . The board I think that is called the logic board that connects to the main and then to the x and y boards has a green light that flashes on and off, but when you hit the power button on the remote the red light on the front comes on but that green light on the logic quits flashing. I have reinstalled the cables on the new board to see if that is the issue. I don't want to tell him to buy this board or that only to wind up replacing them all and it still not work.Any suggestions?

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
              by Asraf Atb
              Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

LG 55NANO77SRA TV – Menu scrolling by itself even after removing button board (Main Board EBU66792103)
              by ygorsan
              Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

              🧩 Problem Summary:
              • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
              • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
              • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.

              Samsung UN75RU8000FXZA bad main board?
              by Lee M.
When plugged in it will click and cycle the BL on and off, no pic and does not respond to remote. When I disconnect the cable from the PS board to the main board and then plug it in the BL will come on and stay on. There are only two boards in this set, the LVDS cables from the panel driver boards connect directly to the main board. Since the BL comes on and stays on I'm thinking the PS board is ok and the problem is on the main board. Should I order another main board or do I need to do more testing? thanks, Lee

              Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
              by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
              CN6401
              Pin 01 NC
              Pin 02 NC
              Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
              Pin 04 "N/C"
              Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
              Pin 06 "GND": N/C
              Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...
