LA52A610A red standby light constant, clicking on and off

    LA52A610A (LA52A610A3F)

Wont turn on, red standby light constantly on, clicking on and off relentlessly (2 sec on, 2 sec off)

Power supply voltages are all there during the ON phase of the clicking cycle. I know the power supply is working because I have a working a650 which use identical power supply. See below solved thread.

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=70831

So that narrows it down to the mainboard. The a610 mainboard also looks the same as the a650 as shown, although couldn't find any shorts like i did on the a650. Could this be a bricked EEPROM issue that's causing constant standby light? And would anybody know where the EEPROM is?

Note : i tried changing the capacitors on the mainboard already as you can see. Also the LA and LN lineup use different boards.

    Please help if somebody knows!

I located two 8 pin ics that could possibly be the eeproms. One of them reads S24CS0 and the other reads ATMLH834. When I replaced both of them with new eeprom chips, I get the same thing. Still solid red standby light and clicking on and off, no picture, no backlight. The mainboard is very hard to find, so i need to repair it rather than replace.

If they were both EEPROMS did you reprogram them first?

No, they were not preprogrammed. I soldered in a new blank EEPROM.

Are you saying these have to be pre-programmed, and not automatically written on start up? Are the above symptoms characteristic of a faulty EEPROM?

        Cheers

For your set I do not know. Some models will reprogram their own EEPROM but I don't believe that this is the case in all models.

So I tried replacing my A610A board with the A650A board from another working TV. The tv now works normally EXCEPT the standby light flashes repetitively while the TV is ON. The red light should turn off when the TV is on, well that's how it behaves on the normal working TV. It responds to remote commands though.

Will try transferring the standby light and remote receiver module across to see if it stops the blinking.

FYI: I entered the service menu>option and changed the model option to another one. This solved the flashing standby light issue.

consecutive power outages on/off/on/off/on/off after which TV was rendered unresponsive.

After exploring the issue found Mainboard was the fault. Then with research on this site determined IC1604 was the suspect. The IC1604 is a surface mounted device (SMD) EEPROM, Winbond Model 25Q40CLSIP. A read on this EEPROM came back with all FF FF FF FF FF in all registers blank and empty of data. I had a spare mainboard with intact IC1604 and utilized...

This Sony has a separate AC->DC power adapter supplying 19.5V to the TV power board (JK3)

Disconnected JK3 power board from main board, checked voltages on all the pin outs

At a few pins I can see the power supply providing 19.5V to the main board

Based on the service manual triage.. it seems to be pointing towards the power board (JK3) being the most possible culprit

un60j620dafxza - Samsung No Display Problem
                by stylishconsultant
                Hi All,

                Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....

LG 55EG910V - no power and no standby light
                by AleMonti
                Hi everyone,
I'm trying to troubleshoot and repair this old LG OLED curved TV, model 55EG910V.
I did some basic troubleshooting and reviewed most related posts here, but I wasn't able to isolate the issue.

The TV shut itself off during playback and never came back to life - the standby light remains off. My dad claims that it has happened a few times in the past but the issue resolved itself after some time. Not this one.

After checking the basics I did the following:
                • I measured all voltages and as expected the only active supply is the 3.5V standby. It
