    Samsung UN55D6003 BN44-00424A won't power up

Hi all! I was given a UN55D6003 TV that won't power up. This uses the BN44-00424A power supply. I've read all the threads on here on both UN55D TVs and BN44-00424A.

My TV has a similar issue where you can hear it cycle (click...click), but backlight does not power up and LCD shows nothing even when shining a flashlight on it. However, mine is slightly different than all of the other posts in that A5V (CNM803, pin 14) is NOT stable. It cycles up and the back to 0, it only gets to ~1.7V (but that could be because my multimeter isn't fast enough to catch it hitting 5V?). It does this even when the main board and LEDs are not connected to the power supply.

A lot of the other threads determined that filed LEDs were the problem. I _can_ rip the TV apart and check all the LEDs, but I'd rather not especially since I'm thinking that this is a power supply problem because of the A5V instability.

    Looking for your input.
    1) Should I see A5V stable at 5V when the mainboard and LEDs are disconnected from the power supply? (is that the correct expectation, or would it cycle with no load)?
    2) From my description, do you think the power supply is defective?

As always, your help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The A5v should be stable, The standby circuit is seperate from the main supplies. shopjimmy has a repair kit for these power supplies, have a look and check the parts it shows to replace, Check the diodes etc. that are mounted to heatsinks.
Usually a ticking sound coming from a power supply indicates a short in the output somewhere, as the supply is trying to start but shuts down, (protection)

Turns out I had a blown fuse in my multimeter causing bizarre readings. I got a new multimeter and A5V is stable, B5V fluctuates, similar to the other threads. Now I highly suspect the power supply is ok and the LEDs are faulty. Time to take apart the panel!

Finally got this panel apart. Damn Samsung for using weak metal screws and loctite. I stripped 5 of the screws on the panel frame and had to drill them out. Anyways, definitely a failed LED strip. I counted 24 failed LEDs on the LEFT100 strip (used a voltage generator to test each one). There were ZERO failed LEDs on the RIGHT 100.

Even though the RIGHT100 is ok, I'm planning on buying two brand new replacement strips on AliExpress and replacing both. I figure it's better to have brand new LEDs on both sides. $44 (including shipping) for the pair.

Thanks for the link. Yes, my strips have the 8-pin connector. There are other strips with a 2-pin connector. I found the ones I need on AliExpress.

UPDATE: I received the new LED strips in the mail. Installed them. FIXED!

Here are the strips I used: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100-...856481262.html

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                Assuming...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Modification to a ZD-987 desoldering/soldering station using a external switching power supply
                by sam_sam_sam
I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...

Samsung BN44-00262A H37F1-9SS power supply help finding blown value components!
                by cheeky2
This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...

Definitive technology SC 2000 subwoofer amp's power supply clicking and popping
                by JimBanville
The sub developed a constant popping every couple seconds from woofer and power LED flickering with nothing but wall AC connected. Connecting an audio cable didn't change anything. It doesn't play but a second or two of audio in between the pops.
Opened it up and discovered the power supply is making a faint clicking or ticking sound.
I measured the amp's output to the woofer and it pulses up to 50mv DC to be driver. The pulses coincide with the power supply ticking/clicking.
I measured the power supply output going to the amp board and it too has this pulsing. Voltage cycles...
