    Shard Lc-52d77x power issues

    Hi

I have a lc52d77x that has dps-286ap-1 power board but has different issues to this post as tv will power up run for a minute or two then turn off (including power light with no flashing) then turn back on after a minute or two then repeat over and over. Has anyone had this issue and know what is the issue. Everything works fine on the tv when on. When it shuts down you can hear a click from back of tv.

    Thanks
    Jeff

Have noticed the IC7905 gets really hot and shuts down the board. If I keep this cool with vacuum cleaner it continue to work. Have also noticed there is 2 legs soldered together on the TNY264PN (IC7905) is this correct

On TNY264PN those are the source pins, 2,3,7 & 8 are connected together, That ic gives you the standby voltage. I would try replacing the two caps, C7915 & C7918 first.
You can check the standby voltage on D7918, does it change or drop down.

            Hi

I checked the voltage on D7918 and was holding stable at 13.2v by memory but have found a solution to the heat problem on the TNY264PN (IC7905)! I made a heat sink out of a piece of aluminium plate and bent it up to go onto the aluminium heat sink towards the bottom of the board and used a little bit of heat transfer paste between the top on TNY264PN (IC7905) and bottom of aluminium plate. Have ran tv all day now without a issue. I know it's probably not the correct fix but is working for now.

hi guys, my motherboard will not start no matter what
when connected to ac power, the battery does get charge, led indicator glows red when discharged and turns white as it is fully charged.
but rest nothing happens no sign of life.

this laptop has one preexisting usbc power issue - so i use DCIN jack for charging my laptop.
with this issue my laptop was unable to power ON only sometimes i just had to wait some time.
but now nothing happens no matter how much i wait/ charge/ press and hold power button.

i have no knowledge of motherboards ....

Laptop Power Issue – Works on Battery, Fails on Adapter Load

Dell laptop (E7440, uses the notorious CD3301B power controller + MEC5075 EC + BQ24715 charger IC)
              Symptoms:
              • Laptop works normally on a pre-charged battery.
              • Battery does not charge when adapter is connected.
              • Without battery:
                • Laptop powers on from DC adapter, passes CPU/RAM init checks, then cuts DC power abruptly.(seems to shutdown one of the mosfets in the charger path). Then the loop continues indefinitely
                • Speakers “pop” when power cut occurs indicating harsh sutdown.
                • If RAM is removed, the system shows RAM missing blink error code indefinitely without cutting DC power

hey guys, hoping for some pointers to repair an eBay bought "faulty" laptop.

Ill try and give as much info as I can.

              Dell Inspiron 17 (7786) Laptop
              Service Tag: 5J0NHT2
              Bios: 1.9.0

When I received this , it would only flicker on the KB backlight for a second, then off and on.
              Then it started getting weirder!
Sometimes when attaching the AC power supply, and pressing various pre-boot diagnostic keyboard keys... it did try to boot, in fact out of a hundred attempts, the laptop did actually boot into the Bios ! but never has...

Dell G3 17 3779 Weird power cycling and shutdown/restart issue
              by SuperJames
This one's a weird one, and still unsolved despite it having gone back to Dell once.

              Specs

i7-8750H, GTX 1060 Max Q, 500GB SSD & Seagate 7mm 1TB HDD. 17.3 IPS screen. This has the fingerprint reader in the power button.

              Backstory

I bought this from eBay, from a wallpapering shop. £650 in 2020 which was a good price considering it's a gaming laptop. Physically it's in perfect shape, apart from the hinge mounts on the palmrest failing in the time I've had it (I have a new palmrest for it). The usual thin plastic crap modern build quality!...

              Original NES power issues
              by sli4
I recently turned on my old NES to find the red light won't go on at all. When powered on it shows black bars on the tv and a loud buzz through the tv speakers. Powering it off, the buzz goes away and tv goes back to normal (white snow).

I tested the power supply itself and it is outputting 9V as it should - first two solder joints on the board at the power port show the same.

Here's where it starts getting funky - When powered on, one side of the 7805 voltage regulator is showing 18V and the other is about 8.7V (center 0).

On the big blue connector I get...
