I dont buy from monitor9 anymore. They sent me a 30 batch of fake FGD4536. Got my $ back . No hole, or divot in the middle.

Re: Panasonic Plasma fault
Attached you can find a service manual for the 42" version of the VT30E variant. Keep in mind that the E in VT30E stands for Europe, so yours may be a bit different in the power supply area (I imagine you do not have the European variant).
Schematic-wise it should be similar to what you have but do not take the data as 100% since I don't know what differences can be between them.
At least you can get a better understanding (if you have the skills) as to what does what and where/why.
Look in the 10X picture attached by tvtimmy and you'll see "the guy" in the background as watermark...Last edited by WildPuppy; 05-28-2018, 02:48 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: Panasonic Plasma fault
You will need to use the original parts for replacement. Moreno, I told you to buy the fgd4536 from "the guy". I have never had a problem with any of them. I have a 55" up on my buddies wall, at his tavern, that is running 14 hours a day on max brightness. I can send you a pic of mine to compare to yours if you need.Leave a comment:

Do you have a picture of your FGD4536TM? A non soldered one...Leave a comment:

Re: Panasonic Plasma fault
That's the way to go. It would help you a lot if you find the proper schematic for your TV or board and check the values of the resistors against the schematic values.
Check all diodes and transistors, including those smaller ones that are not "power parts".Leave a comment:

Re: Panasonic Plasma fault
I had a short private chat with @boomtheroom before he started this topic and I tried to help him since he had the same problem as me: bought a kit, worked for some time and blew up again.
I suggested the replacement with FGD's from monitor09 and he did that.
I support @Morenos83's advice to re-check everything on the board(s). It is very possible that you have some resistor or capacitor out of spec and it messes with the end result.
Also, don't forget to clean the screws, screw pads and TV chassis contact points as leaving any of them scorched will get you into trouble again, fast.Leave a comment:

Re: Panasonic Plasma fault
Yup but you used fake parts on the board which resulted in more damage to the board. I see you used the FGD4536TM to replace the bad parts.
The problem with bad parts is that they cant handle the load and literally blow up and take out other parts in the same trace.
In europe the voltage should be around 215V on the prong connector.
There are more parts defective on the board , could be a resistor but you need to measure every single part......
Could you check for shorts on the SS board?Leave a comment:

by RictechHello everyone. 😀
As per thread title, this unit has a serious SMPSU fault. It blows F1001, which is a 10A M205 in the phase from the mains input.
Very first thing I tried, was simply replacing the fuse, but the replacement ceramic fuse blew immediately.
Looking at the schematic for this PSU, I then removed what I thought was the next likely candidate: D1001 - the HV main bridge rectifier.
This isolated the fault(no longer blows the main fuse), but does not point me to the actual fault.
There are no devices that have exploded or otherwise show signs...-

by clooI recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.
So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...01-06-2025, 06:02 AM -
by AlicatHello,
Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.
Model number is TH-50PZ85U
Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.
Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.
I also hear a few clicks.
I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.
Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...10-30-2024, 10:09 AM -
by LintesirMy parents' Panasonic P42S30 died recently, and they asked me to have a look at it. I was able to identify the SN-board as the culprit, as it was shorted. After removing Q401, Q402, Q421 and Q422 the short was gone, so I replaced these components and that got the TV working again. However, when testing the tv a bit, I noticed quite bad pinkish sparkles on some colors. For instance the greyish bar on this forum seems to trigger it quite badly. I made a fullscreen test picture with only that color, with the below result.
There is about a 5cm high region at the top without any sparkles,... -
by badcappoHello, got a ST50 plasma TV for repair. No signs of life, not even blink codes. Opened it up to check the power supply, type MPF6914. Apparent issues from visual detection and measuring for shorts:
Diode type G972s6 - D101 with a short
Mosfet 06N90E - Q301 shorted
Fuse T5AH 250V - F103 blown
Diode D301 shorted
Relay DG1U-17VDC II - RL001 blown
I have not found a circuit diagram. Maybe someone here already dealt with a similar issue? Thanks for tips where else to check 😀... - Loading...
