    Details about IC VS02 in Composite to HDMI converter XD-990

    Hi,
    I have an Orei XD-990 Composite to HDMI converter box and it is working good.
    Is it possible to modify this converter to accept component input (YPbPr) also.
    It uses Silicon Image SiI9022acnu Chip and another chip "VS02". I am not able to get any details/datasheet about this VS02 IC used in the circuit. Can anyone help me with the details.

    Or is there any simpler IC circuit that accepts YPbPr signals and converts to DVI or HDMI signals or at-least to VGA signals. (480P is what i need at present and up-scale or down-scale feature is also not required). I am not looking beyond 720p.

      I have a problem with this video converter, I only have S-video output but nothing composite, I think the problem was caused by the sometimes high voltage that is found in the composite rca connectors when there is an amplifier signal and I happened to feel this tension also on my body by touching the plug...

      I'm trying to fix this Canopus converter so that I can convert lots of old VHS cassettes. The problem is that it turns on for a split (and I mean split!) second, the fan jerks and then.. nothing. I've checked the power brick works. I've opened up the converter itself and been testing for shorts.



      The image attached shows the on/off switch (which I've checked works) to the left of the yellow socket. Below the yellow socket is a green block marked 26 with a strange symbol at the front. Putting my probes either end of this block, on the silver parts, gives an open short...

      More detail below, but for those that want to get right to the question.... Here are a few waveforms comparing the Pin15 output on the VIC chip (luma/sync) to the pin 4 on the AV socket (composite signal).

      My question is: Is the composite waveform range of 0.1v-1v too low for a c64?

      can i take a dual converter with two dc outputs instead this ? because i cannot found the same or is not possible ?
      the problem is instead 15 volt dc output i have only 6,45 volt
