Did you follow up on this to see if there is any voltage at that pin?? Of course this would be with everything connected.

A schematic of the mainboard would help.

Looks like you need to find out why there's no tcon on signal coming from mainboard, did you check everything on tcon with your meter?

Your Main Bd. Nos. would be
    1-895-172-11
    (1P-011BJ00-4011)

OK. I am now thinking your Main Bd. is bad and you should look for a replacement board. I think.

So what do we have on a recap:
    1. TV switching on and staying on
    2. Backlight turn on and stay on
    3. All signals from the Main Bd. and voltages on PSU are present, except
    4. T-CON ON signal from Main Bd.

If you connect the 3.3V to the T-CON ON wire on the PSU you would have to make sure and disconnect it from the Main Bd. You would have to cut to wire midway of the connectors to leave enough space to join it back up.
Just leave it connected long enough to see if there is an image on the Screen/Panel.
If you get an image, then the Main Bd. is faulty.

Service manual on post #2, if you look at PDF page 30 LVDS connector, there is pin called 'PANEL ERROR' pin.
Your panel is Samsung so SLCD looks to be the one for your TV, you can verify the pin out.

Just to confirm, same 5 blinks with 2 ribbon cables from T-Con to panel disconnected.

I'd like to figure out what T-Con ON error is looking for. There doesn't appear to be any short so not sure what the 5 blinks is all about.

My guess is main board giving false error, but that's why I'm asking the experts..

Do you guys think it's a good idea to send 3.3V to T-Con ON, while connected to main board to see if TV will turn on?

Same Panel and T-CON Nos. I repaired. The T-CON is about 40.00 USD. I bought a T-CON Bd. off e-bay as I thought the Level Shifter IC was causing the double image. I eventually cut-off the CKPV1,2&3 and STVP signals with some stationery tape to cure the double image issue. So I have a good T-CON Bd. now.

I only tried this with the main board disconnected to make sure the power board was good. I had backlights and all voltages.

    Sony KD-65XE8596 no standby light
    by brithepi2k
    Hi,

I’ve got a Sony KD-65XE8596 here that has no standby light coming on. I’ve tested the power board with the test meter, the TV needs 3.4 for the standby but only getting 2.4. Anything that I can change/check on the board to get it working? Pictures of the board are included.

    cheers...

Sony KD-75XF9005 grey Picture but Sound. TCON or panel?
    by iglitare
    Hi,

i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.

Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
Or is it always a bad/shorted...

LG 82UN8570AUD ~ TCON or PANEL?
    by kca
    Hello all ~

Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

    Sony KD-55X9000F TCON Issue
    by thelankanguy
The TV shows a black screen with no image.
TCON ribbon connectors were disconnected individually for image and there was no half image even.
Later both ribbons were disconnected and TCON voltages were tested.
12V, 3.3V, 1.8V were seen present but VONE signal reads 0V.
There is also a short to ground in this circled inductor.
Is this a TCON issue or something else ?...

Sony XBR-75X940E intermittent 6 blinks error code
    by GoodCapDude
Hi everyone. First post on Badcaps!

I am trying to fix a Sony 940E from 2017 that either starts normally (and works perfectly until turned off) or goes straight to the 6 blinks error code without showing anything on the screen. It is frustrating to know that it can still work perfectly but is barely usable because of the difficulty starting it up. I am willing to try to short the BL_ERR but I would like to avoid that if possible. Does anyone have a view on this? Thanks a lot....
