Liability Insurance for TV Repair Techs | Recommendations | Comments

    Hello,

I'm currently at the situation where I would like to purchase a General Liability Insurance that covers my In-Home Tv Repair Services ( I travel to customer house)
Do you all know about any reliable Insurance Company that could cover me from damaging a 70" screen to breaking a expensive decoration in customer living room or scratching walls, etc.

I have avoided the insurance protection for years but now I have decided to purchase it and don't know where to go or what is a good or a reasonable price to pay.

I contacted 5 months ago a local independent insurance company and they provided me a quote from USLI for $514 annual payment. I didn't purchase it at that time because holidays were coming so I waited. Today I contacted USLI directly cause my local insurer seems to be busy that is not answering the phone, and the USLI agent told me they don't insure Tv Repair Techs.

I also have read online about Insureon but there are so many good and bad reviews that I don't know what to think.

Any thoughts or recommendations will be appreciated.

I would have thought general professional indemnity insurance would cover you. Check the restrictions on the policy.

Recommendations of quality soldering station and (separate) hot air station
      by caprider
      Hey,

I'm looking for some recommendations of a decent quality soldering station and a separate hot air station. I'm just a hobbyist, so even if (ultra)premium tools are not required, I still want some good tools. They should be available in Europe.

I now have a TS100 and some soldering irons and looking for some better tools.

      1. Soldering station, budget around 200-240€
JBC BT-2BWA seems to be a good product in the budget.

      2. Hot air station, budget around 200€
Up to now I've found ATTEN ST-862D to be a good option....

PWM LED Driver DIY - looking for comments and criticism

So some of you might remember when I did this project

Which I then ended up using this dimming circuit to drive the panel.

The problem with that circuit is that after it switches on, it starts out at a fairly high voltage and then there really isn't any "sweep" of value range before it just jumps to the highest value making the circuit pretty much useless and it's only gotten worse in that behavior over time.

So since I have a grip of 555 timers, I decided to see what I could find on the web for any decent PWM schematics that...

Need some recommendations for windows cloning.
      by AJ847.63e
      Hi All,

Just wanted to get some advice on what people are using for backing up/ cloning their windows installs and programs?

Two issues I'm looking to solve:

1: I'm looking at setting up a NAS for us in the office so I can clone and backup the two systems we have here. It would be nice if I could setup automatic backups that run weekly say Friday after 5pm so if windows decides to be windows and kill itself, we've got something to fall back on.

2: Cloning customer machines where needed. We're currently using AOMEI backuper but it is...
