    LGPC3D-UD On and Off

So my buddy got a new TV when his old one broke and gave me the broken one as I've fixed a computer monitor before. It's a LG PC3D-UD. Opened up the back and took a look around. There's a bunch of caps on the power supply that look blown. When I fixed the computer monitor all I did was replace a few blown caps and everything worked again. Given the sheer number of caps that look blown on here I'm wondering if they just kinda all went bad in parallel or if this a bigger problem I'm not seeing.

Also, I was able to find the service manual for the TV but it seems to exclude any information on the power supply at all (other than the partnumber for the whole PSU board). Anybody know if there's a schematic for the LG 6709900020A Power board? I'd like to be 100% sure before I order new caps.

Finally, I'm pretty new to all this so any advice would be helpful!

:edit: I'm also pretty sure the solder I have is terrible for working with PCBs would love a recommendation on what type of solder I should be using.

you are in right thought , replace all of them as they are in Cold area, so if there was load on one for example the load will be on other too.

I use standard 60/40 lead/tin solder and a good soldering iron. Surprised the set worked for as long as it did with all those blown capacitors.
If it's a good set I would replace as many of them as I could to future proof the power supply. Use low ESR, high temperature capacitors. Panasonic FM/FC/FR series for example.

dick_barton I'm nearly finished desoldering the blown caps. Could you link to an example of those Panasonic caps you're talking about? I need a 10v 3300uH for most of them.

Just search through Mouser, com and enter Panasonic FC or Panasonic FR ets in the search box.
