What DC Voltage when measured between the two legs of C6112, about 330VDC?
If you do have 330VDC or so then check the fusible resistor R6301 (0.1 Ohm) to see if it is OK or not.Never stop learning

Re: sony kdl-32ex520
I've done all the obvious checks of the psu, resistors, bad solders, caps, mosfets, and some transistors. So the voltage on the capacitors is ok and the resistor too. On the second Part of the psu all voltages are missing. I have the basics and more about electronics. I need your help because i'm stuck and the forum have amazing people with perfect skills and knowledge base far beyond of me.
Thanks in advance.

Re: sony kdl-32ex520
CN6704 need to list all the voltages on this connector, if you have no voltage at all make sure your power cord is good.Last edited by nomoresonys; 03-12-2018, 03:53 PM.

Re: sony kdl-32ex520
You need to find the spec sheet of this 'str-y6765' so you can get the pin out to start checking the Voltages on the pins, since you are working on the hot deadly side of the circuit so make sure you use the negative leg of the main filter cap as your circuit GND ref for the meter.Never stop learning

Re: sony kdl-32ex520
The problem is that the str in my board has 300 vdc on the pin 1 and the other pins mesures 0. Maybe str is dead or some other parts on the circuit is the problem. The pdf schematic shows the pin one takes power from the transformer and the pin 3 is the vcc.

Re: sony kdl-32ex520
So the VCC pin has 0V, correct?
The IC has internal circuit that will provide the Voltage to the VCC to get the IC start running, the start up Voltage threshold is 15.1V (TYP.) as shown in the spec sheet of the IC.
Check the resistance between Pin 2 and GND pin to see what you have.
Check the resistance between VCC pin and GND pin to see what you have.
We also need the straight shot pictures of the whole bottom side of the board also, it must be high def so we can trace the connections.Attached FilesLast edited by budm; 03-13-2018, 10:04 AM.Never stop learning

Re: sony kdl-32ex520
That means the IC is bad then. You can verify that by measuring the IC pins.Never stop learning
