    Spoke too soon, I had it up and running for a few hours, but when I did a 10 on off cycle test the component failed again. I am going to have to replace the chip and a diode as well as the MOSFET.

    If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing twice.

    Thanks BUDM, you are the authority. Getting everything sent in, I am very confident this will solve it.

      Okay, I now have audio, remote works, but no back lights. I can see the video with a flashlight. Making progress...

      pin 12 is LED-BR 2.091V
      PIN 11 IS LED-ON 3.242V
      pin 10 is BL-ERR 3.295V
