Samsung UE32ES6100WXXN. Not working, No Standby light

    Hello All,

I got a strange problem with my Samsung TV UE32ES6100WXXN.
    PSU model = BN44-00517A
    Main board model = BN41-01812(A)
    TCON board model = BN41-01789A
    Living in Europe

    Observation:
No standby light when plugged into the power.
TV won't power on, with remote or button on tv.

    What probably happend:
I was messing with the service menu, didn't change parameter.
Then somehow the menu was frozen so i disconnected the power.
Plugged in again (some sparks) and it didn't turn on.

    Troubleshooting:
    - First inspection for bad capacitors/damaged or burned spots = CHECKED AND OK

    - Check the incoming voltage on the PSU. Measured at the two parallel big caps (100uf 450V) = 320V = OK (230V powerplug * √2 = 325V)

    - Check control voltage. Measured at the connector cable between the PSU and Main. (CNM803). = All 0V except A5V = 5.4V and Power on/off = 0.25V

    - Checked for hot components on the PSU. = All OK

    - Plugged the main board cable out of the PSU, and checked the Voltage again. = Backlight is on (no display)! Voltage on the connector is now:
    1. NC
    2. NC
    3. OD_on/Off = 4.29V
    4. NC
    5. GND
    6. PWM_DIM2 = 3.24V
    7. B13V = 12.99V
    8. PWM_DIM1 = 3.24V
    9. B13V = 12.99V
    10. B13V = 12.99V
    11. VAMP = 12.99V
    12. BLU_on/Off = 3.02V
    13. VAMP = 12.99V
    14. GND
    15. GND
    16. GND
    17. B5V = 5.39V
    18. A5V = 5.4V
    19. B5V = 5.39V
    20. Power On/Off = 3.4V

    - So the main board switches the PSU off. (Power on/off signal)
I forced the PSU on with a 1k ohm resistor between PS_ON and A5V (Pull UP). Checked the Main board voltages = 3V3 = OK, 1V8 = OK
Observation: Still no standby light or powering on. Only a red LED below on the main board (OP301). And the big microcontroller is a bit warmer.

    - Also tried EEPROM reset. = still no progress.

    Questions:
    - Is there any solution for this problem?
    - What did i miss to check/measure or try?
    - What does the Red LED (OP301) on the main board means?
    - Does it looks like a hardware or software (dead lock etc) failure?
    - If no solution, which part do i need to buy to fix my tv? Im thinking the main board, because the voltages on PSU are OK.

I hope you guys can help me with my TV. I have currently no ideas left..

    Thanks a lot!

    Greetings,
    Martijn

If you were in the "service menu" then you may have inadvertently adjusted some settings. However if it was working before you went into the service menu then I cannot see any reason why a hardware fault should have occurred and think you may have corrupted the Flash memory.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Thanks for the reply. So even with a corrupt flash memory the main board can power off the power with the power on/off signal? What do you think is the best option? Search for the flash chip on the main board and replace? Or any kind of reset?
I hope we can figure something out..

.Unfortunately I don't know what to suggest. Perhaps others may be able to offer you further guidance.

        You also say
Plugged in again (some sparks) and it didn't turn on
        .
Did you see sparks and where or were the sparks at the mains plug when plugging it back in?

          Thanks for the reply again.
I hope others will help me further.

I plugged the cable out the back of the TV. Then back in (the cord had already power) the TV.
I saw some sparks when plugged in, just at the metal pins of the connector. From my experience its normal. I think it was just some conduction sparks. I don't see any sparks on the boards.

Is there any flash bin file for the eeprom on the Samsung BN41-01812 main board?

Hello. I have the same main board BN41-01812, but for a 46' TV samsung from 2012. When the main borad is plugged to the power supply, only a red stanby led is lighted. When I unplug the main board from the psu board, the backlight fash. So I guess that the main board is faulty. I am looking a schematic diagram of this main board in order to figure out what component has failded. Thanks you if you have a solution or any idea.
                  Best.

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r...

                      Hey Everyone,

So I've got this Samsung and the reported issue is that when powered on the backlight comes on, but no picture, no sound, it will flicker, the standby light will flash red twice and repeat the whole process...each loop lasts about 15 seconds.

I've googled the issue and understand it is likely a panel/driver board issue, but was hoping the "tape method" could be successful. Before I did that though, I disconnected the left LVDS cable and powered the TV on. This time I got sound, no picture and the two blink standby light stopped. Did the same...

Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen. I give u some photo with voltage, don’t look the fuse….because I blow it for mistake nd I dint have the right replace so I just put it for test the tv. The standby voltage should be 11,88 volt on the diode, but I have 13 volts. I put in the photo the different volts I test and there are someone negative…I don’t know if it s normal. On...

                      Samsung TV`s UE32J5500AK and UE48H6400AK Red Standby Light - No Picture/Sound
                      by slimsoul
Hi, I'm new here and looking for some advice on how to diagnose an issue i have with 2 samsung TVs.

I have a UE32J5500AK and a UE48H6400AK both with the same issue of red light but nothing happening on the screen, the red light responds to remote or button press by flashing once but stays red. I have searched forums but most turn up a blinking red light.

I have tried replaceing the power board on the UE32J5500AK last year but this resulted in the same outcome.
The UE48H6400AK recently developed some small bright areas on the screen, then last week would not power...

No Standby Light on Samsung UN65MU6300FXZA with Mainboard BN94-12440E
                      by Michael Long
                      I had a Dead Samsung UN65MU6300FXZA with Mainboard BN94-12440E
Dead / No Power / No Standby Light results after power company had three
consecutive power outages on/off/on/off/on/off after which TV was rendered unresponsive.

After exploring the issue found Mainboard was the fault. Then with research on this site determined IC1604 was the suspect. The IC1604 is a surface mounted device (SMD) EEPROM, Winbond Model 25Q40CLSIP. A read on this EEPROM came back with all FF FF FF FF FF in all registers blank and empty of data. I had a spare mainboard with intact IC1604 and utilized...
