    LC70LE747 sharp Aquos repair

I got a problem with my tv LC70LE747 sharp Aquos.*

-most of the time the picture is/was perfect
    -sometimes the picture has distortions
-distortions means flickering image, wandering lines. Refresh rate seems to be reduced heavily. See video link also. https://youtu.be/fd1vDcAkiBE

-in the past month the distortions were concentrated in one quarter of the screen
-recently it started to cover the whole screen
-a tv restart cleared the problem until some weeks ago
-now a restart is not enough, I have to wait some hours to get a clear picture again
-one time I got a blinking error code* (power led). It was blink-1sec-blink-long pause-repeat.

Can anybody please help which part I should try to replace first- or is it the panel ?

    Thanks in advance

Plug in one ribbon cable at a time from tcon board to panel.. Theres most likely 4 ribbons, try right 2 at first, then left 2.

See if one side is fine.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

My tcon inkl got 2 cables, but I wasn't able to test it yesterday. Atm my tv is difficult to start, mostly I get the described blink code error. Anyone got a service manual for my model?

OK this is why I want you to try disconnecting each of those ribbon cables at a time. That issue you're having looks in line with the problem that I believe the panel may have. As soon as you disconnect one of the ribbon cables the TV may not have a problem starting and the picture may look good on one side.

This testing is going to tell me which gate driver has failed on the panel.

You could try starting with the left side 1st looking at the back of the TV. That constant line just below center looks like the area where the gate has failed

Here is a link to my original post on sharp 70" LCD panel failure you can read it and see what the eventual fix is for this kind of failure.

Even though your TV is manufactured by sharp and not vizio it uses the same LCD panel.

Thanks freakaftr8, gonna try this too.
But I think for me it's a power board failure.
I looked into all similar service manual from sharp, and my blink code is always a voltage error at 13.5 v.
Can someone give me help how to fix this ? Multimeter is here, I can solder basically ...

After further investigations the flat ribbon cable seems to be damaged.

Any suggestions how to find replacement? There is no part number on it ....

Can you post a picture of the faulty cable?

You may find one on Ebay. It's called an LVDS cable.
