    Help solving a mystery?

Hi guys; I have here a mystery to be solved.
i have my Ota antenna connected to a 3 way splitter 1 output goes to an Apex RF OTA receiver and 2 output to an Insignia lcd tv and output 3 to 2 more lcd tv in other rooms .
this set up has worked for many years, but lately the insignia connected to the 3 way splitter in order to receive OTA signal needs to have Apex receiver on , if i turn off Apex receiver there will be no signal on LCD Tuner, this is weird, what you make of it?

Possibly 3 way antenna is getting weak with over the air signals and the Apex 3 way splitter is creating RF that adds to the signal boost I would assume.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Thanks freakaftr8; it's not a 3 way apex splitter but an APEX ota Receiver converter and it's connected to a 3 way splitter,

Anyway i think i solved issue by removing a RF Amp that i had on the Apex OTA RF converter coaxial output to analog old TV and VCRs,weird but for now have Ota RF signal to LCD tv even if i turn off RF Apex converter receiver OFF.

most of the time if these other devices are not on you may start something has changed but there is a lot of RF interference when you start splitting over the air signals. Especially other devices with Built-in tuners like VCR's and that such. Sometimes you may not see the RF interference on the screen but internally the oscillation duty cycles are changing within the signals being said to the 75ohm coax.

I guess one could sum it up to what happens when a microwave is on near a television

Make sure antenna power is turned OFF on all of the TVs, if it is a supported feature.

Thanks tom66; i don't think any of my old LCd tvs have any antenna power function.

Running out of Ideas, hoping someone smart can provide some for my ONKYO TX-SR353 Receiver
              by CDNBrewer
              Hello Everyone,

I have an Onkyo TX-SR353 Audio/Video Receiver (5.1 ch with HDMI) that I am having a really hard time diagnosing and I'm about to throw this in the junk and go buy a new unit that is on sale until the 7th.

              Symptoms:
              • Intermittent (part of the reason why i'm having a hard time isolating problem), sometimes will work for 10+h at a time without issue
              • Original symptom was wife reported loud banging noise (like someone was banging on the wall with their fists) from the LEFT SURROUND speaker and then the unit shut off.
              • I swapped the Left and Right surround
              ...

wireless receiver for 6 speeds fan control with remote control
              by wolf1976
hi i have a receiver that is destroyed from the overvoltage i guess
my question is has three wires u v w for driving a motor fan i found an other receiver wireless from aliexpresss with the same propertiew but for dc motor
the motor fan has not label
i have an other receiver operational
In your opinion can i measure the voltage at the output ?
what do you suggest me with a simple instrument multimeter or using someone instrument more specific ?
              thanks in advance...

hi guys I ve been working on this card with weird symptoms and i can t spot a faulty componant .
The card powers on somtimes showing the bios screen , but somtimes it is not even detected the fan doesn t spin on both cases , i mesured the voltage on the 2 pin fan wires .
On one end it is reading 12v and on the other it gives also a voltage 10v wish is weird and it turned out that this is the only hint i ve got on what is wrong about this card
I found a schematic for a two wire fan for the gtx 750 wish is similar to mine
there s no gnd on the second pin , and the...

DSE GE6878 possible TV receiver dying remote not working well
              by CdDvdFlash
For this Dick Smith TV GE6878 (Thompson) I replaced the broken remote with a universal it kinda works though if its more than a few meters away sometimes the buttons register and sometimes they wont so I bought another remote from another brand and it has the same problem, I've had an old TV in the past that the sensor died completely and I replaced it to fix it could this be a similar problem? I tried looking for a service manual, spare parts for a receiver and a parts list but I couldnt find any info. can someone please help me to find the info online for a service manual or where I can buy...

Ugreen HDMI splitter missing a pulldown resistor
              by spleenharvester
Odd one I've found. This splitter likes to cut out - on my Xbox Series S the display/audio would randomly go to black for a few seconds - on my PC the monitor would flicker several times before eventually staying on. A few others have reported similar issues. Couldn't be bothered returning it for the sake of £8.

I pulled it apart and found it is driven by a Texas TS3DV642 mux/demux. There appears to be a missing pulldown resistor on the HPD line, it is just left floating. Adding a 100K pulldown to ground fixes the flickering.

(Not that this is worth the hassle for an...
