    Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR9 Lines

I didn't see any other threads that had this issue when I searched so I am asking here. Sorry if I somehow missed the relevant thread but I don't think I did.

My TV has the lines you see in the photos when it comes on and they go away all at once 5-10 minutes after power on. The lines are on the left side and dissipate the farther right on the screen you go.

It does not take all kinds, but you get them.

    Re: Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR9 Lines

this is a common sony issue with the tabs on the top left side. If you push on the frame on that side, you might get the picture to correct for a bit. Disassembly and applying pressure to the offending tab will confirm the issue. You can try adding some pressure pads to help but it may not. Depending on what actually is the problem (the tab may not be allowing powering to reach the side tabs, you might be able to fix with some wiring but its a tough operation.

Thanks for the info. I had a Samsung with tab bonding issues once it was a bit different though as it would not go away without pressure. The Sony always goes away after 5-10 minutes and never returns until the TV has been off long enough to "cool" off.

hope i didn't mislead you. the "wiring / pressure" suggestion was some possibly methods. You may also be able to get the set back to "almost normal" operation by removing the side tabs that are causing the problem (that being that they aren't being powered properly)... so depending on what you find out by looking closer at the tabs, you might get a "save". No problem though if you just want to scrap the set.

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
          by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
          • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
          • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

SONY BRAVIA XBR-55A8H - White horizontal lines / red LED flashes four times
          by thstuff
This "free from a friend who was going to recycle it" SONY BRAVIA XBR-55A8H arrived with the bottom center RED LED repeating a four flash pattern. It was treated with kid gloves and was reported to have "just gone dead" and the OLED panel has no dents in the metal frame or cracks.

Thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?p=1091829 helped in proceeding as follows:
          1) Unplugged, then plugged set in while holding the remote VOL- and Power to factory reset.

          2) Waited 30 seconds, then pressed remote Power button and "Select language"...

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
          by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on
          by PopsCaps
I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on. The indicator flashes red 3 times.
I do not hear any sound and I cannot see any backlight.
I have tried disconnecting every cable on each board one at a time to see if anything changes.
The only change is when I disconnect AC-DET cable on the Power Supply board or on the other end if I unplug the CN7009 connection on the B-Board and try to power on the TV the indicator will stay on solid green until I power off.
My friend ordered another used power supply board but it is also doing the red indicator flash 3 times...
