    Need service mode access for RCA TV

    Model is RLDED5078A-F.

    I've seen the same type of user menu on many TVs, so I'll try my luck here. (see picture)

    I would like to lower the backlight setting and was hoping to find it in the service menu.

    Pressing "menu 1147" on the remote doesn't work.

    Anyone?

      I ended up cutting one of the two big 5R1 resistors to drop the LED current from almost 600mA(!!!) to less than 300mA. Crazy how much current they drive through these poor LEDs.

          I have found calling up source or input then pressing 2 8 5 0. brings up service menu on many different brands on generics - skimpy menus though.

              The current main board on my Vizio m652i-b2 only has 1 of 4 HDMI ports working. Also, the coaxial port is not working.

              So I ordered a replacement board. It boots up the tv, but the display is dark in areas, colors are off, etc. I have seen information online that a setting in the service menu may need to be adjusted. Have tried many ways to access the service menu using remote codes, but none work.

              Can someone here provide the confirmed method for accessing the service menu on this tv? Thanks in advance!

              So i got this tv from my neighbor, when it wasn't working right for him,, he purchased another tv and gave his old to me.
              the color is all outa wack, like the settings have been corupted,
              I've already done a firmware search using the wifi connection update from the tv and it didn't find any new update so it's got the most recent version.

              so
              The issue is i can't get into service mode or factory mode, tried resetiing it from user mode and it didn't change anything.
              when i bring up the menu and type the pass codes to access either mode the menu disappears...

              Hello, I have an e-studio 18 printer. This printer was giving a toner error. I turn on the machine by holding down the red (clean / stop) button while the printer is off. It enters service mode. Here I press the up - left - down - right arrow keys in order and enter the setting mode (select the first one in the row) and press the OK button. I come across test mode A. While here, I was bypassing the toner problem by opening the toner cover, pressing the menu button while the cover was open and then closing the cover. Somehow, in this mode, I changed the language of my printer (Chinese, Korean)...
