    These are know to have the main BGA chip fracture the solders and can cause all sorts of weird faults like lines, loss of inputs like HDMI etc.

    Could try heating that chip up and see what happens.

        HI, it seems a lost of Horizontal clock, it's much probably a panel fault unfortunately, can you make a photo of a good monitor and the broken tv showing the same image from PC vga? (one at a time).. you can dismantle the screen, putting apart the plastic and metal bezel, then put pressure on the outer screen flats R and L side (those glued on glass) and seeing if image restores. BYE.

          Thanks everyone, tw2005 nailed it...I heated the main BGA chip and it cleared up the horizontal lines and restored the video.
