Re: Toshiba 32BV500B suspected panel fault

Hi, hear me, it's a common problem on Sams screens, don't waste time powering tcon by itself, why after? it's a problem of COF chips on the screen, do my suggestion on blocking Clock lines, remember, CKV1,2 are repeated on both flats so you must attach 2 patches per time. I have a Samsung 40 inches, i have tried all possible ways, if you want there's a thread of mine, on LE40A756 model. Bye.

just powered the panel via the 5 x 12v rails and gnds but screen looks just the same as when only the backlights are on and the panel is disconnected. oh well, maybe add CLK_A & P as well.

Its a real pity people dont bother to update the end outcome, even just to say they gave up and binned it. Afterall, they get lots of useful info and great knowledgeable people helping out its the very least they could do! Even if it is 6 mths or so later.

Yes but when one fails dont have wish to continue, surely they have trash away the panel or all the tv. "CLK_A & P" what them are??

Maybe worth keeping the set complete for a while you never know if you will get another one in, thats if its your own set of course and not a customers but its the room too i guess for storing them.

Just pick them up when one comes up and fix for fun/pasttime.

Storage is a problem though, have 4 in at the moment, 2 recently walked out the door, extra bit of spending money.

Hi, no. Didnt seem worth the bother as it seems the general consensus that its a bad panel.

Shall strip the boards and dump the rest!
